So I'm just now discovering the power of this book..

Maya Angelou allowed herself to be vulnerable in order to heal.

There is power in our voices and our stories..

Maya gives you so much of her life in this book.. Her journey involved highs and lows and she shared them so effortlessly.

I think the more we read and hear these stories we begin to connect with one another more.

Maya and her brother came to Stamps with nothing and assumed her parents were dead. The disruption that her parents caused coming back in their lives makes you wonder about the obstacles parents face.

Anywho I could go on and on lolol

Creating space for others means listening to the stories of others.

Billy has taught me what truly vulnerability is and to also question the hurt.

Ask yourself why does it hurt and allow stillness to comfort you.

I never read anything like this before. Just breathe and keep reading is something I had to remind myself while reading this.

My weekend read had me all in my feelings.. I just wanted to breathe..🤎🤎🤎
