Collab Dinner: Thai Rice: A Journey Beyond Borders at Platform by James Beard Foundation

Thailand's most celebrated rice varieties take center stage as Chef Noah Sandoval leads an elite culinary collective in redefining these grains as essential luxury ingredients for modern American kitchens.

Joining him are Chef Neal Harden, Culinary Director of ABC Restaurants, whose plant-forward philosophy was shaped by years of ethical sourcing, raw food cooking, and an immersive culinary stint in Bali before partnering with Jean-Georges, and Chef Pithayakorn "La" Panapoi of La D**g, as they reimagine Jasmine (Hom Mali), Riceberry, Brown Rice, and Sticky Rice through inventive new techniques.

Ukraine-born pastry chef Oksana Chepoy of Flore Café Tysons brings a refined, detail-driven pastry perspective to the lineup, alongside mixologist Chompon "Boong" Boonnak of Mahaniyom, who rounds out the experience with a complementary "liquid rice" beverage program.
