Perks of working in wine! You’ve got to taste wines that are hard to find or even aren’t on the market yet, like this stunning Rosato from Sardegna. This is a blend of Bovale Sardo, Cannonau, and Monica made by a tiny farm located in the middle of the island (Mandrolisai DOC) Peachy and perfumed this wine is more savory on the palate with zesty acidity and peppery finish. Enjoy as aperitif or pair it with any simple recipes of yours, like pasta, pizza, fish or cheese plate.
What’s your favorite Rosè wine this season?

All beauty of Corsica is in my glass!
This Nielluccio from .SanQuilico is bursting with the aromas of wild berries, rosemary, pine resin. Full-bodied, with robust and quite tannic texture and good level of acidity it has a great potential for aging.
Fun fact about grape: according to some wine experts, this grape variety is indigenous to the regions of Corsica. Other theories claim that the grape is of an Italian origin and it could be a genetically identical clone of the Tuscan grape which came to the region of Corsica through Genoa.
You can get it at along with other wines that are hard to find anywhere else.

Remnants from the last week tasting with my team. ✌️ from stole my heart. Darkly colored (hence the name) this is an unusual 100% that opens up with terrific aromas of cranberry, cherry, and black raspberry. Ripe, juicy palate with accents of crushed flowers and spice is framed in light, silky tannins. The finish is zesty, textural and fresh, lingering with spiced strawberry and cherry flavors. Delicious! Highly recommend.

Camins del Priorat from Alvaro Palacios, one of the driving forces behind Priorat appellation. I’ve tested this wine first time in Seville and have absolutely fallen in love with it. It’s a blend of Garnacha, Carinyena (Carignan), Cabernet and Syrah. The wine is powerful but elegant, approachable but restrained. It spends eight months in oak barrels and benefits from a good hour of air-time, but then opens up and turns into beautifully smooth wine decorated with black cherry, rose, flint and dark chocolate. Great wine at a fraction of the cost.

Happy weekend y’all! Thanks everyone who submitted the questions for my Q&A this week. All my answers are saved in the highlights including separate Q&A for my Thanksgiving recommendations. You asked, I answered!🙌
My weekend wine is a beautiful handcrafted Mencia blend from Ribeira Sacra .wine - perfect wine for the Thanksgiving table. Fresh and fruity with notes of pomegranate, black cherry and lots of black pepper. Medium-bodied with bright acidity and silky tannins it would pair well with a wide range of dishes and flavors on your table. Cheers!🍷

Who doesn't love a good Beaujolais?! These wines are delicious, go really well with any food (think ), and super enjoyable to drink for any occasion. Had so much fun yesterday tasting and learning about Cru Beaujolais* with & Co.
I brought to the tasting. This chateau consistently produces benchmark Chiroubles from the best vineyards in the region. Vineyards in Chiroubles rise as high as 450 meters (1500ft) above sea level, making them some of the most elevated in Beaujolais, so the grapes take about a week longer to ripen than elsewhere. tend to be complex with rich textures even as young wines, yet very refined and elegant.
Drop your favorite producer in the comments below, and If you aren't familiar with the cru family, check out my tutorial from the last year (saved in the highlights).

Hi there! I've seen some new faces on here, so just wanted to welcome you all and introduce myself. Thanks for following along with me on my wine journey, I'm forever grateful for your support!
My name is Elena, I'm the person behind the blog forwinesake.com - a website for aspiring wine enthusiasts and novices alike to learn about wine, enjoy, and celebrate.
Wine is a life learning experience, and I love discovering new wines, sharing my knowledge and helping growing wine brands to establish their names through creative writing, photography, and events.
A few random facts about me:
- I almost never buy the same bottle of wine twice. There are so many wines to discover, right?
- I didn't have the aha moment, when I changed my career to wine, it happened naturally while I was studying in Italy
- Creativity and self expression are vital for me. Cooking, photography, writing, playing music, and even coding are all creative outlets for me.
If you have any questions for me - wine, holidays, life...whatever - I'm doing little Q & A this Friday in my IG story, so hit me with your question(s) in the comments below or in my story.

Last picnic this fall with my loved ones and 🥂
Based on two vintages, and with a splash of 10% Pinot Noir smuggled in, Agrapart's NV Brut 7 crus - named after 7 Cote de Blancs villages, from which it is sourced - displays beautiful opulent fruit of Chardonnay with racy structured minerality which gives the wine superb length and cut. Aged on lease for 24 months, this entry-level cuvée is delicious to drink now but will easily keep for many years to come.

Today is the day, how’re you guys coping with election anxiety?
Fortunately or unfortunately, I can’t vote this time but as I chose this country as my home for the next decade at least, I’m deeply concerned about our future here... and not only that, the United States is a very powerful economy that has direct impact on the rest of the world. If you haven’t voted yet, please do so while there is still time. Vote for our bright future where people are united instead of further divided, for our health and safety in this country, and for the protection of our planet earth.
Go vote and then do something that brings you joy - do some yoga, cook delicious meal, go for a walk, and pour yourself a glass of wine. But most importantly try to stay positive, eventually it is all going to be okay.
Wine: Sparkling orange from Emilia, col fondo style from , imported by
Food: Sweet potato salad with pomegranate by me

Fall picnics have become one of my favorite weekend activities especially since I’ve moved to the countryside. I mean, who doesn’t enjoy cozy blankets and sweaters, a good cheese board, and delicious wine.
In my latest blog post "Fall Wine Tasting Picnic with Red Wines of the Loire (link in bio), I talk about and the regions famous for the production of these Fresh, Fruity, and Friendly wines.
It's been raining a lot on the East Coast lately, but hopefully, we'll still be able to enjoy some good weather soon.
Take a look, get inspired for your own wine tasting picnic, and enjoy the fall before it's gone.
