Weβre loving a Seitan BLAT βοΈπ₯ͺ
Ingredients
6oz Blackbird Organic Seitan Block, sliced thinly
4 slices sourdough or your favorite bread
1 cup crispy lettuce
4 tomato slices
1/4 cup original BITCHINβ SAUCE sauce or vegan mayo
1 avocado, sliced
Smoky Maple Marinade:
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp oil, for cooking
In a shallow dish, whisk together all marinade ingredients. Add the seitan slices to the marinade and set aside for 10-15 minutes.
Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Add the seitan slices along with a bit of the marinade. Cook for 4 minutes each side until crispy and caramelized.
If desired, toast the bread slices. Spread 1 tbsp of sauce or mayo on each slice of bread. Layer lettuce, tomato, marinated sliced seitan, and avocado. Serve and enjoy!
