Let’s chat about a mistake I made 👀 (plus a little sneak peek on the last slide…)
When I launched LAV 2.0, I was so focused on the flavor and quality of the actual product that I overlooked one tiny (but important) detail.🙈
After transitioning from a 12-pack pouch to a box, adding 2 new SKUs, and updating our packet film, I thought I had looked at everything. (I now know that’s basically impossible 🤣)
So… what did I forget?
Because our dressings are made without fillers or gums, natural separation can happen over time — which is completely normal. 🫒🍋
Think about when you mix oil and vinegar at home… eventually, it separates!
But we started getting messages from customers saying the oil had separated or that they didn’t realize they needed to mix the packet first.
The product was always totally fine.
The communication just wasn’t clear enough.
So moving forward, as we develop new flavors and continue improving our packaging, all future LAV packets will include a simple line of copy:
“Massage Before Use.” ✨
A tiny update, but such an important reminder that packaging design isn’t just branding — it’s communication, education, and customer experience.
Especially when you’re building something new in a category that doesn’t quite exist yet 💛
