We are very sorry to let you know that we at NYFoodBox need to suspend our business for the next few months while we re-evaluate our current business model.
Though Living Social introduced us to a lot of new customers, the sheer volume of orders left us losing a lot of money per order. As we were trying to self-fund our business, we just don’t have the capital to continue right now with these margins.
At the moment we are only 2 people running the business with no funding. To try and see if there is a way for us to save the business, as our loyal customers have been amazing, we are suspending our delivery options until July 13th so we can focus on trying to raise some money and re-structure what we are doing.
We apologize for any issues this causes you at this time.
If you have paid for an order on Monday, you will be refunded. If you have a living social voucher we hope you will bear with us for a month to see what will happen. If you have not used your living social voucher at all, you can contact them to receive a refund. If you have starting using your voucher you will be pro-rated by us for the remainder of your voucher.
We are in the process of setting up a crowd funding campaign to help us raise some more money to continue with our services, and we will let you know as soon as it is up.
