We took two hot topics - pistachio & frozen yogurt - and made our own at-home version 🍦 Using Nounós Creamery Greek yogurt makes it extra thick, creamy, and perfectly tangy, while Pistakio adds that rich, nutty pistachio flavor we're all obsessed with! 😍
Here's what you'll need:
- 1 (16 oz) container Nounós Creamery Classic Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1 (16 oz) container Nounós Creamery Vanilla Bean Greek Yogurt
- 1 (8 oz) container Pistakio Creamy Pistachio Spread, saving a small amount for topping
- 2 tbsp honey
- Optional: generous pinch of salt
- Crushed pistachios, for topping
🥄 Steps:
Add the Nounós yogurt, Pistakio spread, honey, and salt (if using) to a food processor and blend for 2 minutes. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and cover with plastic wrap. Freeze for 45 minutes, then use a rubber spatula to stir, scraping the edges of the pan. Continue freezing for 3 more hours, stirring every 30 minutes. This prevents ice crystals from forming and helps achieve a smooth, creamy texture - don't skip this step! Once fully frozen, serve and enjoy. If it's still more soft-serve than scoopable, freeze for another hour. If frozen overnight, let it thaw at room temperature before serving. Top with a drizzle of Pistakio spread and crushed pistachios, then dig in!
