🍑 Peach Dumplings Recipe 🥟
✅ Ingredients:
🔻 1 cup sliced peaches (fresh or canned)
🔻 2 cups all-purpose flour
🔻 1 tablespoon sugar, plus extra for sprinkling
🔻 1/2 teaspoon salt
🔻 1/2 cup unsalted butter (chilled and cubed)
🔻 4-6 tablespoons ice water
🔻 Cinnamon for dusting
🔻 Powdered sugar for dusting
👆 Instructions:
Prepare the Dough:
In a large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Cut in 1/2 cup cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Gradually add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the dough forms a ball.
Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Make the Filling:
Toss the sliced peaches with additional sugar and cinnamon to taste. Set aside.
Assemble the Dumplings:
Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a thin sheet.
Cut into squares or circles.
Place a few peach slices on each piece of dough.
Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges to seal.
Optional: Use a knife to cut out small vents on the top of each dumpling.
Cook the Dumplings:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place the dumplings in a buttered baking dish.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until they're golden brown.
