The style of La Mozza wines aspires to complexity and structure, but always linked to, indeed supported and enhanced by, perfect balance and overall integrity. Characteristics that when merged and harmonized with each other give the wines marked sense of terroir and simuntaneously, elegance, finesse and captivating preservability. Wines, therefore, outside the usual production canons and far from too many modern “special effects”, aimed rather at the inexhaustible search for “qualitative beauty” and ageability.

La Mozza, Cabernet Sauvignon, Maremma, Toscana at Fiori
The best-known and best-selling wine of the La Mozza winery. Conceived and produced to highlight its uniqueness as compared to other Morellini. A blend that includes Mediterranean and indigenous varieties, along with the minimum 85% of Sangiovese required by the appellation. Highly expressive, it best shows the potential of Maremma’s terroir. I Perazzi owes its name to the pear-shaped fruit that grows on our estate, and that appears on the label.

AMARO EBO LEBO GRAN RISERVA
An ancient legend, whose origin is lost in the mists of time, tells of how the Salassi – ancient and bold inhabitants of Aosta Valley – made use of a powerful potion. This magical filter gave indomitable courage and superhuman strength to the Salassi soldiers who took it before the battles. Thanks to these particular benefits, it allowed them to resist the invasion of the impetuous Roman armies for many decades.

For the Salassi the magic drink was a medicine against all hurts; it was used especially before facing trials that required energy, boldness and courage, such as war, hunting or love.

The years passed, the peoples succeeded each other, but the magic linked to the mysterious drink did not disappear.

In fact, in the following millennia, Ebo Lebo was the name with which, for a long time, the Gressoney valley people called the Achillea Millefolium, a bitter herb with magical digestive and stimulating qualities, which takes its name from the Homeric hero Achilles, who used it to heal the wounds sustained in battle.

Today the legend lives on with EBO LEBO gran riserva. Dedicated to the most refined palates, it still remains the liqueur of the past, with extraordinary powers and obtained through the wise and secret dosage of infusions of numerous herbs. However, in addition to tradition, it also represents innovation, since the original recipe is enriched with the addition of génépy and saffron, cultivated in Aosta Valley by the Rosset Terroir farm. Thanks to them, Ebo Lebo has exceptional tonic and digestive characteristics without detracting anything from its full taste and its unmistakable aroma.

Bastianich, Sauvignon, Vini Orsone
Grown on the coolest Bastianich vineyards, accentuating its aromatics, its typical freshness and its slight herbal notes.

The grapes are harvested by hand and then sorted again to select only the best fruit. The fruit is then de-stemmed and the must is cooled to 4-5°C/39-41°F for a cold soak of 8-12 hours. The skins are then pressed lightly in a pneumatic press. After 12-24 hours of settling, the must is decanted and inoculated with selcted yeasts. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at maximum 18°C / 64°F for 15-20 days, until dry. The wine is aged on the fine lees with periodic batonnage for 7 months, allowing the wine to develop natural anti-oxidants. After clarification and filtering, Sauvignon is bottled and left to rest for 30 days before release.

Aromas of grapefruit, herbs and gooseberry. Fresh and elegant with roundness on the palate, good acidity and a long, refreshing finish.
