SubCulture Dining

Born in San Francisco in 2004, SubCulture Dining has gone through a series of evolutions and change.

We've traveled from coast-to-coast, entertained, educated and raised questions about what it is to run an underground restaurant. Underground Dining and Adventures in San Francisco and New York

Saturday, May 24. One table. One night. What started as a coded act of preservation closes the same way it opened.
Summer brings new work. New ground. New space. If you've been paying attention, you already know what's coming.
Six seats. This is the last one before the season turns.

NaCl — Sunday Supper

SubCulture Dining returns March 22 with a dinner built around a simple truth:

Salt melts ice.

SubCulture Dining has always kept its locations quiet until the last moment, a tradition that has existed since we launched in 2004. But this dinner is an act of resistance, and resistance belongs in the open.

For this gathering we’ll be hosted at Purple Waves, one of our favorite spaces in Manhattan and the only storefront currently carrying our Reverence Provisions products.

SundaySupper has always been about bringing people to the table. Food, conversation, and the chance to sit together for a while.

NaCl
Sunday Supper — March 22

Salt is one of the oldest tools in the kitchen.

Preservation. Transformation. Memory.

This dinner explores the role of salt across the menu — from fermentation to finishing.
