I lost my best friend this weekend… 💔
Kaiser was an absolute gem of a dog. The sweetest dog I’ve ever known. He carried us through a lot in life. For 13.5 years, he was our best buddy. He loved us, he loved the kids— he had so much patience for the kids. He accepted every dog and goat that came to this house… and even the chickens. He didn’t have a mean bone in his body. He waited until we got home Saturday afternoon and passed in our arms. He was always looking out for us, even in his final moments. We will miss you, Kaiser 🌈🩵

I haven’t been on a whole lot or doing much with the chickens these last few weeks because this old guy has been on the struggle bus with these storms and cold fronts. It really affects his arthritis. He has good days and he has bad days. He’s been a part of our family for 13.5 years and I know time is running out 💔 😔

But I did it anyway. She’s becoming less naked by the day! She’ll be beautiful again in no time. 🩵

The two year old took over my job.. I’m not allowed to collect the eggs, carry the eggs or mark the eggs. She’s observed for the past two years and has stepped up to President of Operations. She’ll be running the FB page by next month. 😅

🩵Good morning! 🩵
Our evening was filled with Tornado and flood warnings, one after another it felt like. I hope as this weather makes its way throughout Texas, and surrounding areas, that everyone stays safe! 🙏

I may possibly be opening shipping back up in a few weeks. I might be looking for a couple of test shippers. Particularly on the West Coast and the East Coast. The further from me (Texas), the better, but I will also be choosing a couple closer to me as well.
If you might be interested, let me know ❣️

We’ve got some thick fog today. It’s still lingering.
We are under a flood warning ⚠️ beginning tomorrow and lasting through Wednesday. If we get rain like we got last week, I’m worried it’ll be too much for one of my smaller coops (it flooded a bit) … so I need to work on moving the birds at the very least.

Are you expecting rain in your area?
