Nana’s Love

Nana’s Love Nana's Love Catering offers a variety of our signature Empanadas. Paired with our homemade sauces.... your tastebuds will never be the same!

06/23/2026

Last week, Nana’s Love had the honor of delivering 700 empanadas and our signature sauces to P.S. 76 — a school just blocks away from where I grew up in Queensbridge.

To return to my community not just as a resident, but as a business owner giving back, was a moment I will never forget. What once seemed like a dream has become a blessing.

Making this delivery even more special was having my godson and my two adopted nephews by my side. Seeing the next generation helping to serve the same community that helped shape me made this experience even more meaningful. ❤️

From humble beginnings in Queensbridge to serving schools throughout our city, I’m reminded that God has a way of bringing everything full circle.

Thankful for every lesson, every struggle, every supporter, and every opportunity to pour back into the community that poured into me.

Humble beginnings. Grateful heart. Blessed business.

Happy Birthday to one of the pioneers of Nana's Love, Jaylen Wingfield

During one of the most challenging times in our world, when everything shut down in 2020, God placed a vision in my heart for Nana's Love. While the world stood still, in Ravenswood, LIC a dream was being born.

I gave Jaylen the vision, and he brought it to life by building the Nana's Love website. He worked tirelessly, dedicating countless hours, believing in the mission, and helping create a platform that would carry our story and our purpose forward.

Through uncertainty, hard work, and faith, he helped lay one of the very first foundations of what Nana's Love has become today. Looking back, all I can say is, "Look at God!"

Jaylen, thank you for your dedication, your creativity, and your willingness to serve something bigger than yourself. Your contributions will always be a part of the Nana's Love story.

As you celebrate another year of life, know that you are appreciated, valued, and never forgotten. May God continue to bless your path, enlarge your territory, and grant you favor in all that you do.

Happy Birthday, Jaylen!

❤️🖤💚 Happy Juneteenth ❤️🖤💚

Juneteenth is more than a holiday for me—it's personal.

I remember listening to the stories my Nana shared about growing up in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She told me about walking miles to school, only to be chased by white students throwing rocks at her simply because of the color of her skin. She spoke about being forced to enter buildings through the back door, being treated as less than, and enduring the pain of being called the N-word.

As a child, it was difficult to understand how someone could be treated that way. As an adult, I now understand the strength, resilience, and courage it took for her to keep moving forward despite the obstacles placed before her.

Those stories became part of the foundation of Nana's Love. They taught me the value of hard work, perseverance, faith, and determination. They taught me that even when doors are closed, you keep knocking—or build your own door.

While we have come a long way, we know racism and inequality still exist. But Juneteenth reminds us that progress is possible and that change happens when we refuse to give up hope.

Today, I honor my Nana and all those who endured hardships so future generations could have opportunities they never imagined. Their sacrifices were not in vain.

Let's continue to push forward, stand for what is right, support one another, and never lose hope.

"Let all that you do be done in love." — 1 Corinthians 16:14

With love and gratitude,

That's how we show up after a championship!

From the court to the cafeteria, Nana's Love is on the move—feeding schools, building relationships, and serving our community with love. Today’s delivery came with a Knicks cap, a Knicks tee, and a wagon full of food, but what matters most is the connection.

We don't just deliver food—we engage, listen, and show up for the students, teachers, and communities we serve.

Tenacity pays off. Faith keeps us moving. Service keeps us grounded.
