Looking forward to pouring with Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation this Saturday at the Wallabout Wonderland Holiday Market.

We’ll be brewing during vendor setup and then serving our light-roast coffees to the community starting at 12 PM. Always grateful for opportunities like this to connect with neighbors, makers, and everyone who makes NYC’s creative ecosystem what it is.

We loved stopping into A Matter of Health on the Upper East Side and hearing how well Oval has been moving! Our Natural Whole Bean sold out faster than expected, and the store team is now bringing in more of your favorites - including Bowling Green (Women-Produced) and Riverside (Half-Caffeinated).

We also spotted our Single-Serve Pour Overs merchandised on clip strips at the end of the coffee & tea aisle next to Yogi Tea, Choice Organics, and Traditional Medicinals 👀☕️

While putting up flyers for our Brooklyn pop-up this week, we had one of those small but meaningful moments - spotting Oval Coffee Roasters on shelf at Key Food on Myrtle Avenue, just a short walk from our space at Garage Studios.

As an emerging NYC roaster, seeing our light roasts brewed at home and found in neighborhood stores means the world to us. From hand-pulled espressos and specialty drinks at our weekend pop-ups, to being part of your grocery runs near Pratt Institute, we’re grateful for every way you welcome Oval into your day.

Thank you, Brooklyn, for discovering us, sharing us, and making space for us on your shelves and in your routines.

Week three of our Brooklyn pop-up carried its own rhythm - a rainy day, but a steady flow of neighbors, regulars, and new faces who still came through to share a moment with us. Some grabbed a cup on their way through the Navy Yard, others stopped to chat, and a few even asked to take flyers back to their buildings so their neighbors could discover what we’re pouring. Those small acts of support truly shape what we’re building.

Toward the end of the day, we had one of those “only in New York” moments - crossing paths again with Scott Wiener and the crew from Scott's Pizza Tours after their stop at Il Porto. A pizza bus rolled up with food lovers already two pizzerias deep, and a handful made their way over for one of Christopher’s hand-pulled espressos on the vintage Italian machine. One transplant from Los Angeles even came by for an espresso before and after his slice. 🍕☕️ That’s the kind of energy we love about this city.

A huge thank you to our partners at Hall Street 3PL for opening Garage Studios each week and giving us the space to connect with the community in such a personal way.

We’ll also be pouring again tomorrow for a special weekday session. If you’re near the Brooklyn Navy Yard, stop by for a warm cup and a mid-day break.

Oval Sundays return this weekend for our third round at Garage Studios near the Brooklyn Navy Yard. We’ll have hand-pulled espressos, pour overs of our signature light roasts, and a relaxed space to spend part of your Sunday.
