BIG NEWS! Okay, Christmas isn't really cancelled, but we are moving to North Carolina in October and we won't be having our lights display here in Covered Bridge Farms this year after all. We are sorry to disppoint our fans, and we are so appreciative of the support these three years here in Delaware. We will be selling off much of our display, taking only a fraction with us to the new house. We hope you will check out the many other great diplays in northern DE, and THANK YOU again!!!

Coming new this year: Santa's "Nice" List. Let us know what night you are visiting and we can make sure your names are on the nice list that night! Starting November 27th!

We got contacted today by The Great Christmas Light Fight to see if we would enter again this year. Filming is in November for shows in 2023. This would be the third year they have contacted us, and last year we were interviewed by casting and then presented to the producers but didn't get picked to be on the show. This year they said they would just be presenting us to the producers, no interview necessary, but I think we are going to pass. It would be a lot of extra work to get ready a couple of weeks sooner, and we have enough publicity now as it is. Thoughts?

Wondering what impact a few cans per person can make? Here's the food donations from Christmas Eve through NYE. This stack is about a foot high. Plus there was just over $500 in cash donations that will be used to buy food. Dropping it all off at the food bank this week. Thank you to all who gave to relieve food insecurity in our area!

Update 12/27: It looks like a wet week, so there will likely be days when the backyard lights are off. Today and Friday still look reasonably good, and Friday may end up being our last night depending on the weekend weather.

Most asked questions this year:
#1: How long does it take you to set up?
A: The two of us spend 10 full days over Thanksgiving week and about a month of weekends before that.

#2: Where do you store it all?
A: Most of the bulky stuff lives in the attic above the garage, and the rest goes under the deck and in the basement storage.

#3: Do the two elves on the sign count?
A: Nope (unless you are a tired parent in need of being done)!

12/26 Update: It looks like a nice dry night for tonight and then rain in the forecast most of this week, so come out and see the lights before the season ends. The elves found new hiding spots after their Christmas party, and we are still collecting food donations.
