Ballantine Ale

Ballantine Ale This page is dedicated to Ballantine Ale and the idea of returning Ballantine # # # Ale to its former Ballantine Ale could be even better than it is today.

This endorses the idea that Ballantine's owner, Pabst Brewing Company, should contract with an established craft brewer/ bottler in New Jersey or New York to begin producing Ballantine Ale, Ballantine IPA and the other Ballantine beer styles in small batches using original or new recipes that are more in line with today's American craft beer styles. This would put Pabst into the craft beer market

with a recognized and still respected name brand. We want Ballantine returned to its former glory as a high-quality, hoppy and flavorful ale. Ditch the foil bottle labels and go back to the parchment labels of the past. Oh, and the 40s will need to go too. Somewhere along the way, Ballantine became something more akin to malt liquor than pale ale. It's time to take Ballantine back to its roots with a re-launch. Ballantine's past presents great opportunities for its future, especially in label and package designs from the 1950s that could be put back into use today.
