It’s the weirdness of succulent plants that makes me love them.! The common name for this plant is carrion cactus, they don’t have bees where this plant comes from so the flowers mimic something dead and smell like a ripe bag of garbage!

Loving the sunny day ! The rain has been pretty brutal here and it’s clear that flower season is coming to an end soon, the frosty zinnia pic is from a Michigan flower farm! Went out hunting bittersweet this morning where I thought I spotted some last yr and wound up on some scenic abandoned railroad tracks ,everything is still green so it was harder to spot but I found some worth cutting and it’s out drying in the sun and wind. Little Pearl is a joy, she makes the other dogs play and certainly keeps us on our toes. Looking forward to tomorrow’s market, the days and the year are getting short!

Well, look oks like Charms last puppy is here for good ! We couldn’t help but fall in love with her! Her name is Pearl, named after Karen’s parents neighbor in Cincinnati. Pearl was a sweet old woman with a serious stutter that made you really pay attention when she spoke. Pearl and her husband could often be found having a b**r at the local bar ,the Wedge Inn! She was a lovable character and we see that in our new puppy. We think she is in the right place, any thoughts of dominance are quickly squashed by the big dogs and she is changing so fast and becoming sweet and loving. We are so blessed by the beauty of this world and so privileged to witness the innocence of new life ❤️
