This week, we highlight again a local favorite & hot spot in Kennett, Pennsvlvania, Waywood Beverage

It's everyone!! This week we are highlighting a small brewery on the eastern shore of Maryland called Riley’s Mill Ale Works

Riley's Ale Works is a family-owned craft brewery and hometown gathering spot located in Chestertown, Maryland. It's run by a first-responder family with backgrounds in EMS, 911 dispatch, fire service, and the ER. The taproom offers in-house brewed specialty beers along with guest beers, and non alcoholic drinks inside a welcoming atmosphere.

One of the owners & lead brewer, Dave was the best host for sampling their beers. We talked about our travels, the brewery industry status, and how the brewery got started and runs today. We sampled all the in house beers. The American lager threw us a curve ball. It was one of those accidental brews that didn't come out as expected, but tasted delicious. It came out more like a cream ale with more body and flavor.

Celebrating another beer friends meet-up last week at the Fourscore 7th anniversary Beers with Buddies.

We had such a great time drinking beers from a variety of breweries around the area. It was great to hang with so many old friends again. I want to thank Nick & Ashley for their help and to everyone that came out to hang with us.

We're looking forward to doing this again soon at another cool brewery. Also thanks to Michael Chandler & JL Carreiro for the inspiration behind organizing meet-ups in the beer community.

Yesterday was National Intern Day and we should celebrate. Let us finally officially introduce our best beer friend and helper, Mike.

“I know we are a day late but that doesn’t reflect how much we appreciate everything you bring to the Porch Beers Team Mike Krantz!! Your willingness to do whatever we ask you, pre or post beers is awesome!! We would like to take this opportunity to officially promote you (back) to Senior Intern!! (If you know you know)”

Those of you who know us well, know the inside joke about our biggest fan and friend. From beer trips to beer fests to our beer collabs, he's always there.

This beer means so much to us. It's more than beer influencers getting together and brewing beer. It's brewing a beer with a purpose that helps others. The head brewer at tall oaks brewing, Justin, reached out to us local beer lovers to help with his mission.

His family is facing an incredibly tough road right now. His dad is battling brain cancer, and his cousin is fighting colon cancer.To help them through this difficult time Tall Oaks brewed this collaboration beer.

If you feel moved to help, you'll find the OR code on the second pic. If donating isn't possible, sharing this post and keeping his family in your thoughts is another incredible way to help.

Any support would be appreciated. If you're in the central Jersey area, stop in the brewery for a pint. They even have 4 packs to go.

We want to thank Justin, Chelsey, Mike, Maddy, and the rest of the Tall Oaks Crew for their support and hospitality. Also thanks to our fellow beer lovers that joined forces for this collaboration.

Another is upon us and we find ourselves in the Keystone State at The Beer & Beverage Shoppe

The Beer & Beverage Shoppe has been one of our go-to places for craft beer for many years. If you can't find it, they will get it for vou. The staff prides themselves on availability and customer service, and it shows every time we walk in.

You can find not only the best craft beer, but also many varieties of wine & Liquor. They have the best craft beer variety in the area from local to beer all the way to Alaska. This has always been a go-to stop when passing through the Amish paradise of Pennsylvania.

Another great opportunity to meet great people at our Beer Friends Meet-Up this 4th of July weekend! Join us on Sunday 7/5/26 at 11am at RAK brewery in Frederick, MD. A unique and beautiful place with great beer and tasty pizza and corn hole plus other games on site. We will be there at least a few hours hanging out.

We will be in the reserved portion of the Lounge Area. Come say cheers and have a beer with us.

It's again! We're back at
State Line Liquors for a Thursday tasting event

The tap takeover showcased the highlight of Maryland craft beer. With 10 breweries, over 20 beers, & all you can eat pizza for $20, it was bound to be a good time. There wasn't a bad beer on the list.

The Stateline staff were very hospitable and knowledgeable about the beers being served. Unfortunately, not all the brewery reps were able to attend. This event really helped people sample beers without having to travel to the brewery. It also gave people knowledge about Maryland Craft Beer.
We're looking forward to the next event!

It's again! Today we celebrate brewery number 1️⃣2️⃣6️⃣2️⃣ for us. We took a small trip to the Eastern Shore of Maryland this Father's Day. We found a place with a boat sticking out of the building and said, this has to be a great brewery. Say hello to Rock Hall Brewing Company

From first glance you can tell it's the go-to place for locals and they even enjoy welcoming visitors. Both the beer and food were a great hit. The Lager & Hazy were our favorites. If you want to bring your furry friend, they have a large outdoor area in the back to hang out.

Hanna, the bartender made us feel really welcomed during our visit. She had a packed house and she never skipped a beat with the service. She knows what she's doing 🍻

We highly recommend a visit. You won't be disappointed.
