Finally made it to Terrell’s Restaurant in Chester and the VIBES alone will bring me back to this soul food eatery!🙌🏿🎶🍽

The ambiance, music, and customer service were easily a 10/10. We walked in to karaoke happening, everybody was welcoming, and the aesthetics were definitely giving. They even have a beautiful additional space that looks perfect for private events.

I ordered the seafood and grits with crab, salmon, and shrimp. 🍤 The seafood was GOOD, but I should've listened to our waiter and added the cheese to those grits because they needed a little more flavor 😭 My mom kept it classic with the fried shrimp basket and fries.

We went during brunch, so I couldn't get into the dinner entrées quite yet. They don't serve alcohol, but they have plenty of soft drinks, specialty lemonade, and Shirley Temples on deck.

And yes, I grabbed a hearty piece of pound cake to go. Now somebody just needed to slide me a scoop of ice cream with it!

Overall, great first experience and I'd absolutely come back to explore more of the menu.

Plus, I also want to try Duo Taco, an Afro-Mexican spot, and Everybody Eats Cafe which are both within walking distance!

Happy Hour at Augustine Tavern 🍸

We like their sister location, Chadds Ford Tavern, so we've been wanting to check out the Delaware spot for awhile. Augustine Tavern did not disappoint!

We started with their homemade chips and dip, then tried the short rib egg rolls, coconut shrimp, and ricotta meatball pizza. That pizza was REALLY good and paired perfectly with my pineapple martini.

The food comes out so quick at both locations too, which I appreciate because who wants to be starving at Happy Hour? 😂

The tavern has that same historic feel as Chadds Ford, right down to the red door, but with several different spaces including a dining room, high-top area, and patio. We chose the patio and enjoyed every minute.

Good food. Nice menu. Quick service.
We'll definitely be back to try more!
