Good morning!
Last weekend, I had a chance to bake some pies for my family and in the process, I had the time to remember all the reasons I love pie! I love pie because of how it makes others know that they are loved, how it's so perfectly imperfect, and how no two pies are the same.
I also had the chance to reflect on learning to make pies from both of my grandmothers. I took away something from each of them. From my Grandmother Alveria, I learned a little dollop of precision. And from my Grandmother Ann (now 97 years young), how to improvise. And to that I added an all-butter crust, organic ingredients, and some new flavors!
I'm very pleased to be bringing you one of my favorite flavors this morning, Blueberry Basil! 🫐🥧 We will have full size and mini pies. I hope you will stop by and see us at Granville Farmers Market or sometime soon at the farm.
Looking forward to tasting tomatoes at the Farmers Market too!
