Today marked the end of the 2026 sugaring season with our final boil. The season ended up about average at 2400 gallons. But as the sugaring season ended today, calving season began.

A quick update. We're currently are about 3/4ths of a crop, but with Sap running good today we should pass the 2000 gallon mark. We now have Dark, Robust canned for those who like thee stonger maple flavor. Most sizes are in stock. Plus we've added pint Mason mugs, and the return of quart, pint, and half pint in metal containers.

We have Amber Rich syrup now available in most sizes in both plastic and glass. This year we plan on also have metal containers and some new styles of glass. Unfortunately the Bacon Jugs we have used for many years have been discontinued and will be switching to VMSMA jugs. Same great syrup, just a different looking container.

Record day yesterday and still haven't got it all boiled in. Wild night last night with wind, power outage and temperature dropping from 58 degrees at 3am to 40 degrees at 4am. Below freezing now so hope to be caught up by noon and get some sleep tonight

Today decided to inventory the contents of my tapping vest, and get any leaves, twigs, sawdust out. (Though emptying the debris on the kitchen floor wasn't my smartest move lol) a lot of items are carried along While tapping and maintaining lines. Missing from the pictures are a folding saw (hope to find that when the snow melts) water bottles and lunch!!

Been a while since our last post. A busy winter with line maintenance, wood splitting , and canning syrup. By the way we still have a limited supply of syrup, cream, and sugar left if your in need before the upcoming season. Speaking of which we have been busy tapping since early February and about 3/4 done.
