The farmstand has become a “hub” or full farm store, partnering with so many great producers. We are planning to be open as normal, Thursday through Sunday from 10-4 throughout the year. We hope to see you all show up to support week after week!

The real stunners this weekend are the melons. We are at that moment when they are just right: excellent flavor and floral aroma without sacrificing texture. Juicy, but still slightly firm. We hope you will enjoy them as much as we have!

Farmstand is open Thursday through Sunday from 10-4. We will have VERY limited amount of peaches, whatever is picked that day. Yellow nectarines are available, and they are incredible. And we also have another summer favorite, figs!! Come by and check out our selection of local favorites!

More than peaches!

I just shared a story about the resilience of farmers during our climate crisis. And that’s what it is, a crisis. When major crops fail, we don’t have a season to figure out what to do if we want to be around another year. We plant crops that will produce multiple successions throughout the year, hoping it helps get us through. That is what we have been doing these past four years. But that doesn’t always work, either. Frost, flooding, extreme heat, no pollination, lack of customers interests. But we don’t let that deter farmers from trying!

Support farmers, buy local ALL year round. We really appreciate it!

This is a very flavorful time of year. We know everyone wishes we still had peaches, but with all of this variety, you won’t be disappointed!

Figgy Farms - Penryn has a wonderful selection of fresh figs and we are so excited you can find them now at the farmstand This seasons crop is a nice one. Figs are so fragile and short lived, experiment with some this weekend, let us know how you ended up enjoying them! You can now select an award winning cheese from Cowgirl Creamery Cypress Grove and Fiscalini Farmstead to complement!

There’s a delicious selection of baked goods including thumbprint cookies, Apple coffee cake and Apple crisp (yes, it’s that time!) hand pies, peach blondes and more.

Peaches are gone for the weekend. But the farmstand is still open! White nectarines, heirloom and cherry tomatoes, sweet corn, pluots, melons and watermelons and so much more!

Thank you for supporting local, small family farms. When you shop at the farmstand here, you are not only getting great produce from Twin Peaks, but several other wonderful small farms sell their produce here, too. Keep agriculture alive in Placer County!

It’s hard to believe, but we are nearing the end of our stone fruit season! Over the next couple of weeks, we will have yellow peaches come and go, with O’Henry still available this weekend. August Pearl white nectarines are in now. September Bright yellow nectarines are still to come. Each harvest gets smaller and smaller. This feels like the end of August, not July! Hopefully the weather next stone fruit season will be a bit timelier!

We will continue to stock our farmstand with seasonal, organic produce. Like all of these tomatoes! We have peach salsa now in the refrigerator, along with a replenish of Foothill Roots salad mix. Have you tried an Asian Pear? Ask for our favorite ways to enjoy them and incorporate them into your fruit bowl.

We are experiencing a slight gap in fruit, we will not have peaches or nectarines at the farmers market in Roseville, and we will be missing the Truckee market until next week! We will be open at the farmstand Thursday through Sunday 10-4. We will update our peach status by Wednesday!
