Not feeling good today, think I was massively dehydrated yesterday and it’s catching up. Major migraine going on with a sick to the stomach feeling.
Finally got up long enough to let the ducklings out, and noticed a chicken on the wrong side of the fence… got her back in the run and then decided I’d check their water status while I’m there so I don’t have to come back for a while. Took a nice knee to the stone because sandals and messy stone steps don’t mix well... the water was very full though so at least I didn’t have to refill and go back up the steps again 🙄
Made myself eat something and get the kids situated and I’m now back in bed again. Today has already been a heck of a day and it’s not even noon yet 😅

Today is the type of hot that makes me miss the winter soooo much! What season do you guys prefer?
I am definitely moreso a late fall-early spring kind of girl. Keep the heat and the bugs away from me 😂
Thankfully for the ducks, they have this great big pool to cool off in now! We have an extra water tray out for the chickens and they have much more shade up there thanks to all the trees. They also love staying underneath their coop and laying down in the dirt to help keep cool. I don’t blame them one bit 🤣

Can you believe it’s been four weeks already since we got the babies?! They’re exactly 30 days old today! Freaking cutie...

I think we are gonna get some leg bands for them, as they’re mostly impossible to tell apart from each other 😂 anyone have a certain type or brand that they prefer?
