Growing up on an Iowa "Century" farm, I learned to respect the history that our family farm was steeped in after being a Johnson farm for nearly 150 years! Recently we had to take down an old horse barn to make room for my brother and his kids to move back to the farm and prepare to take over the operation from my father. The building still held the smell of a century of keeping livestock and equi

pment from the elements by bearing them on it's outer shell. The time and facets of nature had aged its wooden construction beautifully! I lined the lower half of the walls of my living room with the memories of its wood, but there was so much remaining wood that needed a purpose. That's when I began to build the Authentic Barn Wood Frames that you will find here in my shop. I had found a new love in bringing new life to the materials of an old obsession, and I built this shop to provide a means to share the rewards with you.
