🌱 Exciting things are growing at BS Farm! 🌱

Our lush, green pasture is getting closer to being ready for horses to enjoy. After months of careful management, fertilizing, reseeding, and a little help from Mother Nature, the grass is coming in beautifully.

We're giving it just a little more time to mature and establish strong roots so it can provide healthy, nutritious grazing for our horses throughout the season. The wait will be worth it, thick green grass, happy horses, and plenty of room to roam.🐴💚

🚨 ISO: The Mythical Perfect Boarder & Horse Combo 🚨
(We’ve heard rumors they exist. We remain skeptical.)

Now accepting applications for that once-in-a-lifetime unicorn boarder… you know, the one who:

🐴 Owns a horse that

Doesn’t throw shoes(or hands)

Has zero interest in testing the fence, or personal boundaries

Eats like a gentleman/lady instead of a full-time demolition crew.

Doesn’t require a group meeting, 17 supplements, and a prayer circle to stay alive

👩‍🌾 Comes with an owner who

Pays board before we even think about reminding them (wild concept)

Can locate their own halter, fly spray, and common sense

Doesn’t text “quick question” followed by a novel at 10:47pm

Understands horses are, in fact, horses… not fragile glass figurines or overnight Olympic athletes

Knows how to close a gate… every time…

✨ Bonus points if you:

Say “thank you” to the person feeding your horse in 100-degree heat

Don’t create barn drama like it’s your side hustle

Can laugh when your horse acts like a complete idiot (it's a phase... or a lifestyle)

Actually ride your horse instead of just sponsoring it's luxurious early retirement

Resist the overwhelming urge to become the "unofficial barn manager." (We promise, we're good!)

Want to have a great time!

🏆 What you get in return:

A laid-back, drama-free barn (yes, really)

Happy horses, clean pastures, and people who actually like eachother

Trail rides and quiet vibes

A fantastic group of friends ✨

💬 If you read this and thought “wow, that’s literally me”… we should probably meet immediately.

If you read this and got slightly offended… we wish you the best of luck elsewhere 😌

Because BS Farm wouldn't be exactly that without the shenanigans 😅🤣

“Well,” someone said, leaning on a pitchfork like a war hero who had seen too much, “after this… we deserve a field trip.”

Silence.

Then another voice, dead serious:
“Dollar General.”

Now, most people would laugh this off.
But not BS Farm people.
No ma’am.

Next thing you know, we’ve got halters on, lead ropes in hand, and a small parade of very confused but mildly excited horses heading down the road like it’s the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, if it were sponsored by chaos and poor decision making.

We roll up to the local Dollar General like we absolutely belong there.

The automatic doors open.

The cashier pauses.
We pause.
The horses… do not pause.

One of them beelines straight for the seasonal aisle like they’ve been manifesting this moment their whole life. Another tries to sample a display of pool noodles. Someone’s yelling, “NOT THE CLEANING SUPPLIES!! THE CARROTS!”

And then 🤩jackpot 🤩

A glorious, slightly questionable, plastic bag of carrots.
Maybe organic. Maybe not. Definitely discounted.

It was chaos.
It was beautiful.
It was completely on brand.

We left with carrots galore, one mildly offended cashier, and a reputation that will absolutely be discussed at the next town meeting.

Back at the farm, covered in dust, questionable decisions, and victory, someone summed it up perfectly:

“Honestly… this is why we can’t have nice things.”

But as the horses happily crunched their Dollar General carrots and we all sat there laughing like idiots… you kinda realized.....This is the nice thing.

Nothing builds character quite like spending your day at BS Farm Newington doing the glamorous, highly sought-after job of picking up p**p in a field like absolute champions. Truly, this is the dream; sunshine, fresh air, and the undeniable satisfaction of knowing you’ve single-handedly improved the land one scoop at a time. But in all seriousness, it takes a solid crew to show up, laugh through it, and get it done without complaint (okay, maybe minimal complaint).
Y’all are the reason this place stays as nice as it is hardworking, slightly unhinged, and somehow still smiling by the end of it.
BS Farm doesn’t just run on hay and horses… it runs on a pretty incredible group of people willing to do the dirty work and still make it fun.

Tonight’s BS Farm trail ride was exactly what you’d expect when you mix good horses, questionable decision making and the best group of woman. The sunset was gorgeous, the chaos was free, and somehow everyone made it back in one piece, physically, at least. Mentally… we’ll reassess tomorrow. Just another peaceful, relaxing evening at BS Farm Newington.
