Happy World Bee Day šŸšŸ’›

Honey bees are responsible for pollinating roughly 1/3 of the food we eat every single day. From apples and blueberries to broccoli, pumpkins, and almonds — bees play a huge role in keeping our tables full.

Without them, many of the nutrient-rich foods we depend on would become scarce and expensive. Honey bees even help pollinate crops that feed livestock, meaning they indirectly impact things like milk, cheese, and beef too.

These tiny creatures contribute billions to agriculture each year, but more importantly, they help sustain life as we know it. šŸŒ»šŸŽšŸÆ

Today, take a moment to appreciate the bees and all the hard work they do. They are small, but they are mighty.

Let’s bust a myth that’s been floating around šŸ‘‡

Does your metal spoon ruin honey?

NO!

Using a stainless steel spoon will NOT damage raw honey or strip away its nutrients. Honey is slightly acidic, but stainless steel doesn’t react with it in any meaningful way—especially for quick use like stirring into coffee or tea.

What does affect honey?
šŸ”„ Overheating
🧪 Heavy processing
šŸ«™ Poor storage

That’s where nutrients and enzymes can be lost—not from your spoon.

The only time metal matters is with long-term storage in reactive metals (like aluminum). That’s why honey is best kept in glass or food-safe containers.

So go ahead—use the spoon šŸÆ
Your honey is just fine.

The real takeaway?
Choose raw, local honey. That’s what keeps all the good stuff from the hive intact šŸ

It’s officially swarm season here in the mountains, and I got to remove this BEAUTIFUL swarm yesterday!

Bees, fresh air, and a little adrenaline. Life is good.

Don’t love crystallized honey? (I don’t blame you, I don’t)
Here’s how to make it smooth again šŸÆ

ā˜€ļø Slow & natural:
Loosen the lid (don’t take it all the way off) and set your jar outside in the hot sun. By the end of the day, it should be nice and liquid again.

šŸ’§ Need it faster?
Place your jar in a bowl of very warm water—not boiling. Let it sit until the crystals dissolve.

🚫 Quick tip:
Avoid high heat. Too much heat can damage all the natural goodness in your honey.
Do not microwave!

That’s it—simple, easy, and back to that smooth, pourable honey šŸ‘ŒšŸ
