Save the date and pull up a chair. 🍂

Our next free Community Dinner is coming up on Saturday, September 19, from 5–6:30 PM in the NCC Fellowship Hall.

These dinners are simply a chance to gather with neighbors, share a meal, enjoy some conversation, and spend time in community. Come with family or friends, or come on your own. There’s a place for you at the table.

There is no cost to attend, and no RSVP is needed. Donations are gratefully accepted to help support future community meals.

What if rest is more than stopping long enough to catch our breath?

This Sunday, we begin a new six-week sermon series inspired by Dr. Kirk Byron Jones’s Three Beats Deep: Rest, Play, and Soul for Living All the Way Alive.

Together, we’ll explore three sacred rhythms that can help us live with greater freedom, resilience, creativity, and joy. Rest opens us. Play awakens us. Soul keeps us connected to who we truly are.

Through Scripture, reflection, and simple spiritual practices, we’ll make space to slow down, listen more deeply, rediscover joy, and consider what it means to become more fully alive.

Come as you are, carrying whatever you carry and bringing whatever part of you is longing for something deeper.

A new school year is a great time to practice being a good friend. 💜

This Sunday at Kids Club, we’ll learn about Jesus and his special friends, the apostles, and explore some of the ways Jesus taught us to care for one another: helping, sharing, listening, forgiving, taking turns, and making sure others feel included.

For our activity, each child will decorate a paper person and share one way they can be a good friend. Then we’ll bring everyone together to create our own Friendship Circle!

Sunday Kids Club happens every Sunday during worship at NCC. All kids are welcome!

If you have been around NCC recently, you may have noticed how great the outside of the church is looking! For the past two weeks, a dedicated team of painters has been working hard through the summer heat to give our building a fresh new look.

We want to extend a sincere thank-you to the painters who have been laboring each day to make this project happen. We are also incredibly grateful to all the church members whose generosity and support made this improvement possible. This project is a wonderful example of what we can accomplish when our church community comes together to care for the place we call home. 💙

This Sunday, we’re grateful to welcome Rev. Gayle Murphy, who will lead worship and share a message while Pastor Patty is away. Together, we’ll reflect on the community and belonging we cherish, and how those relationships can become a doorway to something deeper: opening ourselves to God and allowing our faith to transform how we think, live, and love.

The church is a place to belong, but it’s also a place to grow, to be changed, and to draw closer to the One who knows each of us by name.

Come as you are. May Rev. Gayle’s words and the warmth of this community carry us closer to God together.

This Sunday, Rev. Holly will reflect on Ephesians and Paul’s reminder that we are many members of one body. Each of us is needed. Each of us belongs. No one is left out.

Her theme of “becoming” reminds us that we aren’t finished, and we don’t have to be. We are still growing, still learning, and still discovering how to live with humility, gentleness, patience, and love.

That is holy work, and you are part of it.

Join us as we continue becoming the Body of Christ together, right here in Newmarket.

May you be blessed, and may you be a blessing. 💜
