Hey all!
We are trying something new!

Native plants pre orders every Wednesday Market!

How it works:
You place an order with us on Wednesday and we bring your plant order to the following market for you!

At market we will have photos and information on each species we grow out at the farm and can provide you with our professional opinion on options that would work best for your specific growing conditions!

Find us at the Newport memorial blvd Market each Wednesday from 2-6pm for fresh veggies and to place a native plant order for your garden!

We have been growing our our mostly ecotype specific Native Plant Nursery selection each year to offer a wide variety of Trees, Shrubs, and herbaceous perennials!

More to come! Feel free to reach out for a full list of what we offer!

Happy planting!!

THANK YOU & A REQUEST

THANK YOU To everyone that came out and contributed to Samhain celebrations at the farm this past Saturday!

REQUEST: If you have photos or videos of the event you wish to share with us please send them to [email protected]
Thank you in advance for sharing these memories with us!

It was such a treat to have all you there and to see community coming together, sharing songs, laughter, and joy.

We want to thank our performers and artists for stories and song around the fire, and for sharing the insights of The Cemetary Swingers, and of for sharing their time and talents to support artistic creations that can be enjoyed by all on the farm!

Samhain is a time to be present within our communities but also to remember the ancestors who came before who offer a guidebook already written filled mistakes and triumphs to lead us into the unknown future we can write together.

We want to thank our Celtic ancestors for persevering a celebration that offers us the chance to connect with our community and root us to the cycles of the natural world we are forever entangled with.

And we thank the stewards and harvesters, whose land we occupy,
The Nahagansett, Pokanoket, Wampanoag, Peoquet, Nehantick and the
Nipmuc.

Their stories are a connection to the stories of all our ancestors and are vital to listen to, retell and learn from.

Cyclical celebrations and rituals rooted in the shared memory of all ancestors can guide us through the unknown to a present that considers the life of all beings as worthy. None of us are free until we are all free.

In the midst of us party prepping...of course the shenanigans don't stop...

I went to view the website this morning and found this propaganda messaging on the HOMEPAGE of the the USDA.gov website.

This messaging is clearly a partisan tatic to further spread division, confusion, and hatred among our communities.
But, regardless of the reasons you feel angry or how you vote, This messaging is in legal violation of the Hatch Act. This Act prohibits federal agencies and employees from engaging in partisan activity or affiliation with any party or politician.

These agencies, for good reason, are to remain non partisan and especially should NOT spread misinformation or political propaganda.

I know there are a million things to email your reps about but if you find time to include this one to the list please do so.

Most importantly though, do not accept this messaging: we are NOT divided, your neighbors, immigrants, poor people, etc. are not the cause of our problems in this country.
We need to support each other more than ever right now. DO NOT give up hope. Send love and find happiness.

Tomorrow’s event at the farm is a FREE event and potluck. We accept and encourage monetary donations, if you can give at this time, but please come and enjoy time, food, and art with your community regardless.

Propaganda like this has does not belong on the USDA website. This is far from okay and we do not accept this as normal.

legally you are obligated to remove this from your site and remedy your actions.

Thank you,
From, at least, two Farmers of this country, who have dedicated their lives to feeding and supporting their community:
we implore you to act now and remedy this unlawful and harmful mistake.
