1914 Callot Soeurs had become one of the most prominent fashion establishments in Paris, catering to an exclusive clientele fro

m across Europe, Argentina, Canada and the United States. Att their new Atelier at 9 Avenue Matignon, Madeleine Vionnet perfects her skills in the art of Couture.

1920 Callot establishes branches in Nice, Biarritz, Buenos Aires and London. Their first scent is named "Bel Oiseau Bleu".

1928 Maison Calvet partners with Callot Soeurs. This partnership allows the label to expand its Couture and perfume lines. A limited number of made to order exotic skin handbags are hand-crafted for the label's clientele to complement their couture ensembles. The stunning designs are made in Buenos Aires.

1937 Maison Calvet completes its acquisition of this quintessential Parisian luxury label of feminine chic. Under the new leadership, the sophisticated designs continue to bear the Callot label.

1940 The house also launches its exquisite perfume "Jeep".

1945 The most important French designers band together to create a collection of miniature mannequins and couture pieces that are designed to lift the spirits of war-torn Europe. This travelling exhibition is known as "Théâtre de la Mode". The designers: Callot (House of Calvet), Elsa Schiaparelli, Hermes Nina Ricci, Robert Piguet, Jacques Fath, Worth, Molyneux, Carven, Paquin, Maggy Rouff, Marcel Rochas, Jeanne Lanvin, Lucien Lelong, Madame Gres, Jean Patou, Balenciaga, Jean Desses.

1947 Calvet launches three new perfumes under the Callot label: "Bao" "Dieu du Jour" "Mariage D'Amour".

1948 Calvet retires the Callot label.

2005 The Calvet name is once again at the vangard of fashion under the leadership of Marcela Calvet. Lead by Marcela Calvet, the Calvet Paris brand is once again part of the luxury fashion world. Only this time, our handbags take center stage. Each glamorous collection is a tribute to this iconic history; bringing back the elegance, sophistication and glamour that defined an era.
