Sunday River Resort and Shipyard Brewing Company Announce Relocation and Renaming of the Shipyard Brew Haus--Sunday River!
Sunday River Ski Resort and Brewing Company are excited to announce the relocation and renaming of the long-standing Shipyard Brewhaus. After 25 years at the Whitecap Lodge, the Shipyard Brew Haus will be moving back to its original home at Barker Lodge, where it will reopen as SHIPYARD at Barker Lodge at the start of the 2025/26 ski season.
Over the years, the Brewhaus expanded its presence at Whitecap Lodge with additional dining spaces known as the Crow’s Nest and the Upper Deck. As Sunday River Resort prepares to expand snowmaking operations, the Whitecap Lodge is being repurposed to support that growth. The two companies have worked closely to ensure a smooth transition for both guests and team members.
The newly established SHIPYARD at Barker Lodge will be owned and operated by Sunday River Resort, continuing the partnership’s tradition of local craft beer and mountain hospitality. The venue will feature six new draft lines showcasing Shipyard Brewing Company’s world-class beers, with food service provided by the Barker Mountain Cafeteria.
Additionally, the Shipyard Brew Haus Mug Club and the Barker Mountain Mug Club will be combined into a single membership program. Members of the new Shipyard at Barker Lodge Mug Club will receive exclusive benefits, including access to Shipyard Brewing Company rewards and Guest Member privileges at all Shipyard and Sea Dog Brewing Company Pub locations.
