Greenhouse on Greendell in Johnsonburg is hiring a seasonal farm hand.
This is part-time work (~25 hours/week, on the books) from March through early November. Please do not apply if you’re only looking for a summer job.
Our current team member has been with us for over 3 years while in high school and is moving on. The position has worked well for after-school and some weekend hours.
Farm experience is helpful, but a willingness to work hard and learn goes a long way.
Job includes:
• Planting, harvesting, weeding, hauling, tilling
• Cleaning tools and equipment
• Bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Working in heat, rain, mud, and whatever else Mother Nature throws at us
Must:
• Be able to lift 50–70 lbs
• Have reliable transportation
• Be comfortable around tractors, mowers, trimmers, backpack blowers, etc.
• Be okay with dogs and bees 🐝
This is physical work, but it’s a great fit for someone who enjoys being outdoors, staying busy, and working with flowers and plants.

Our Thursday market was cancelled due the rain, which means we have lots of beautiful dahlias ready to brighten your home.

We’re hiring 2 part-time team members to help with harvesting, transplanting, bouquet-making, and general farm tasks. These are hands-on production farm roles (not hobby gardening), where consistency + reliability are key.
• Hours: 10–15 per week, set weekly schedule
• Fridays: At least one person must be available every Friday for market prep
• Other shifts: Consistent weekday shifts set in advance
• Seasonal through late October
• Location: Newton, NJ (reliable transportation required)
• Pay: Hourly, on-the-books payroll (not cash)

Jenny is the real deal. Her 10 yrs of flower farming experience is what made taking the Lean Flower Farming workshop a must. Being able to ask questions in person as they arose was fabulous. I’ve already started implementing what I’ve learned and I literally just left Jenny’s farm.
