We like to think that the Queen is the controler of the hives when it really isnt the case. the hive is regulated but not just one bee, but by the whole colony as a superorganism. Queen is just a work we use becasue we are speaking (and writing) english, the Swedish as a word that traslates to "mother" a more accurate work to discribe the bee that lays all the eggs in the colony.

Can you see eggs? knowing how to find eggs is one of the most important things you need to be able to see as a bee-keeping. Last Demo was here teaching.

WHOOPS moved off carmera but that is but you come see it for yourself, July 11th at 1030 and 230 I will be hosting a beekeeping demo. At the last demo there was a lot of interest to sample the royal jelly and bee-bread, both are popular in Ireland and other EU countries.

What Royal jelly, how is it harvested, and how can someone get some. I dont sell royal jelly nor do I understand how somoene would be able to sell it. But if you come to the Demo july11th at 1030 or 230 I would let you drip your fingers into a cell and taste.

Come join our next demo July 11th and bring your questions, the man in the video was asking in the context of posibly going back to indaina to keep bees there, I was little help to him outside of what can be read in a book.

Skunk cabbage is popping!! Bees, like all animals need two things protein and sugar. Some plants produce only pollen (protein) and some only nectar (sugar) some produce both. Skunk cabbage is the first plant to provide pollen to the bees.
For me it’s the mark of a season about to begin!
