Well, I'm very thankful that we didn't receive any more damage than we did. Our driveway is a mess. If you were planning to drop supplies off for WNC please just place them in the box at the end of the driveway. Just text me at 828-461-2012 and let me know unless you want to 4 wheel it in.🤣. Joe has his work cut out for himself this week. The back of our barn, where he's been doing his woodworking projects got flooded a bit as well. The creek also got out of the banks a little too, the photo with the grandkids was took on Wednesday and the other photo was took at the same place this morning. It could have been so much worse. Thanks to God for sparing us from what could have been much worse. Please keep WNC in your thoughts and prayers. This storm may not have been as bad as Helene, but there was still damage done AGAIN to the mountains.

I need a rich friend, 😂😂😂, no I really do. I need a bigger vehicle to take to the mountains. Some of yall have been very generous to donate to WNC and my truck can't haul it all and I cant afford to go more than one time a week. It is a VERY long shot to even ask, but hey someone might come through 😉. It never hurts to ask. I can't pull trailers. My truck is a four door short bed F150 and it's loaded to the gills when we go. PLEASE DO NOT STOP SENDING THOSE DONATIONS. After we delivered today my son, Ben Devine, and I took a trip to Burnsville and Pensacola , to see how things were progressing in that area. It's looking much better, but they still have a way to go.. Thanks everyone who has supported this little mission I feel Gods lead me to do. I know he'll keep blessing it and everyone who's been supporting it. Thank you.

It was a beautiful morning to delivery your donations to WNC. It's been 2 years since Helene destroyed much of our mountains and turned so many folks lives upside down. While a lot of the mountains seem like nothing happened and looks pretty good, still there are so many lives that will never be the same. It's very humbling to have seen all the people this morning at the hub getting a few supplies to get through the week. While we take for granted that we can turn on the faucet and get some good clean drinking water, I witnessed an elderly gentleman maybe in his early 80's asking how much water he could get (he actually asked me, I told him I didn't work there and pointed out a lady that would know, she told him 4 gallons). 4 gallons, I probably drink a gallon a day myself. I hope he just needed it to drink and not bath or flush a toilet. I've seen for myself folks being very grateful for the few groceries that can get to help them out. We all could be struggling right now to make ends meet, but what if you're paying for a house that washed away or was damaged by the flood waters and having to worry about paying for somewhere else to live and buy groceries too. I don't know how some of these folks are getting by. I would hate to depend on my family eating only what I could get for free at a Helene distribution hub. Some of the stuff is very rationed to, so other can receive something as well. THIS IS WHY I KEEP ASKING YOU ALL TO HELP. It doesn't have to be a lot, we're all pinching pennies now, but if you could spare a few dollars each week it would really help someone that's life got turned upside down through no fault of their own. IT COULD BE US NEXT. I wish I could have taken pictures so you could see for yourself, but it wouldn't be right. These folks still have their dignity, and I want to respect that.

Hygiene Products, toilet paper, shampoo, soaps, just think things you use on a weekly basis.
WATER, gallon jugs

Joe, myself, and our oldest son Ben took some time this weekend to go to the mountains. This wasn't a trip to deliver supplies, just a trip to enjoy the beauty of God's creation. I don't understand anyone not believing in God when they see the mountains. There is no way something so magnificent could just evolve that didn't have a supreme being behind all that beauty. This trip wasn't about Helene this time, but we will be taking supplies every week to our regular hub in Avery County . I've not had to ask for supplies in a few weeks because a hub in Old Fort had to close and they were very generous to donate the supplies they had to Avery County. We've been transporting those. I think we'll have all the stuff from Old Fort delivered tomorrow. This place in Avery sees approximately over 500 people a week. Their main needs is food, paper products, and hygiene items. Please if you can help with this next week we'd be much appreciative and so would the folks in WNC. WE NEED TO HOLD OFF ON THE CLOTHING FOR AWHILE UNLESS THEY ARE GONE THROUGH AND SIZED. MENS - S,M,L ETC. SAME WITH LADIES AND CHILDREN. (PLEASE PUT IN SEPARATE BAGS AND LABLE THEM) WINTER ONLY. PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY'RE CLEAN, IF YOU WOULD'NT WEAR IT DON'T SEND IT. I'm VERY overwhelmed with clothes to go through at this time.

I could use a few Tupper Totes if anyone has some they'd like to donate. They don't have to be new or even have lids. They work better for hauling stuff than cardboard boxes in the back of the truck. Thanks

Well, I was very surprised at church yesterday. The preacher called us up to the front and gave us this. I told him that it wasn't necessary, but he said the Lord told him to do it 😉. While it's nice that folks see and appreciate what you're doing this appreciation goes to all of you who've supplied all the donations as well. There is no way we would have been able to do any of this without all of you helping. Some of you, and you know who you are have gone overboard in helping the cause. In a few weeks the 2nd year anniversary of when Helene hit will be upon us. There are folks still trying to recover and some may never come near to having what they lost.
I hope what we're all doing is helping in some small way to bring them a little relief. God bless all of you!

Shelves for sale.... Joe's been at it again. These are heavy built shelves handmade by Joe. These are heirloom quality, solid wood and will last a lifetime. $150 FIRM. 30" long, 14" high, shelf depth is 5 1/2". One natural finish with 3 pewter hooks, one darker finish with 2 black hooks. Joe has been making more benches. We have 4 for sale, $200 FIRM. These are cheap considering the quality and price of wood. The dimensions are, seat 10", base 15", height 18", length 5 ft. 2 are made of Ashe and 2 are Hickory wood. 2 finished in a dark walnut stain and 2 in early American stain. Very heavy built and heirloom quality.

Folks, I've had a request from the lady who runs the distribution site in Avery County. She would like to have some "Girly Stuff" for her shelves. Things that schoolgirls like, hair brushes, hair products, etc. Can you help a girl out? We'll deliver items on Tuesday.
