Cheers to the long weekend ahead with a cocktail crafted by our team!
Did you know that before New York City took its name, lower Manhattan was called New Amsterdam, a Dutch trading port shaped by commerce and exchange? It was where American spirits commerce took root.
This cocktail honors that history. A Dexter twist on the classic Boulevardier, built with Three Wood's depth of 200-year oak, cherry wood, and maple wood. Richer. More layered. The kind of pour that makes you slow down.
The New Amsterdam
Ingredients:
1.75 oz Dexter Three Wood Bourbon
0.75 oz Cocchi Vermouth di Torino
0.5 oz Luxardo Bitter Rosso Liqueur
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Directions:
Add all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry.
Want something bolder? Swap in Dexter Small Batch Rye. The five-wood spice cuts through the vermouth and makes it an entirely different drink. Both are worth your evening. Happy Friday!
