24 August 2026: Being Triggered Isn't The Same As Starting Over
Growth didn’t mean I stopped wobbling. It meant the wobble no longer got to choose my direction.
Today started beautifully.
Then something happened that hit me emotionally much harder than I expected.
My immediate reaction was to leave.
Go where?
I didn't even know.
But instead of automatically following the impulse, I stayed with the moment.
I went through the mail.
Made breakfast.
Ate.
Cleaned up.
Started laundry.
Painted.
Journaled.
Read.
Nothing dramatic.
Just ordinary next choices.
And somewhere inside those ordinary choices, the moment stopped deciding the entire day.
I'm learning that being triggered doesn't mean I'm back at the beginning.
An impulse can be real without becoming an instruction.
Today I didn't need perfection.
I needed a choice.
Tomorrow, I'll resume.
