Micheal has spent every single day he’s had off working to build the emus a secure pen/stall in the barn so that we could safely bring them out of the brooder they were rapidly outgrowing.

Using repurposed everything, minus the fencing, we have a fantastic and very secure place the emus (and their chickens) can run and stretch. He even covered the top of the pen to make sure no air attacks or climbing predators could invade. 💕

It’s hatching day once again 💕 beautiful blue brahmas! So far we have 9 out, and numbers 10 & 11 are actively hatching.
We also still have 4 older chicks (hatched May 6th) still looking for a forever flock.
This will likely be our last hatch of the season. Pics of parents upon request.
