Excited for our client Kestrel Stud whose homebred c**t El Matador by Include is running today in the $3,100,000 Nashville Derby (G3) at Kentucky Downs! El Matador is out of Kestrel Stud’s homebred English Channel mare Mini Channel. Formal Bloodstock raised El Matador until he was sold as a yearling and we currently have Mini Channel boarded with us and foaled her 2024 Sharp Azteca c**t as well.

We foaled our second foal of the season early this morning! A handsome, strapping c**t by Brethren out of our client Kestrel Stud’s lovely Smart Strike mare, Ecstatic. Formal Bloodstock purchased this mare, in foal to Brethren, at last month’s OBS Mixed Sale. Both mare and c**t are healthy and happy! Congrats Kestrel Stud!

First foal of the season! Formal Bloodstock foaled this lovely filly for Ramsey Farm a couple of days ago. Both mare and foal are healthy and happy. Congratulations Ramsey Farm!

Tizzy in the Sky finished a strong second in yesterday’s Go For Wand S. (G3) at Aqueduct, gaining her first graded black-type! Formal Bloodstock as agent bought her dam, Tiz the Tide, and foaled, raised, and sales-prepped an Instagrand weanling half-sister to Tizzy in the Sky that was the highest-priced offering by her sire at last month’s Keeneland November sale. We’re excited to see what Tizzy in the Sky does next!

A proven threat on off tracks, Dr B won the Dec. 2 Go for Wand Stakes (G3) at Aqueduct Racetrack much the same way she did last year, hustling for the early lead and then drawing away on a muddy track that agreed with the winner.

Our nice Instagrand filly sells later today at the Keeneland November sale. She’s a half-sister to five winners, including stakes-placed Tizzy in the Sky, who was second by only a neck to multiple graded stakes winner Interstatedaydream in the Turnback the Alarm Stakes at Aqueduct ten days ago. Foaled, raised, and sales-prepped by Formal Bloodstock!
