Things you still have time to plant before the frost! 🥶

If you live in the Okefenokee🐊 region of the country we are in grow zone 8B/9A meaning until late -November 🦃
-Early December ☃️
we are able to grow certain crops until then and we can over winter things like peppers 🌶️.

Right now you should be planting and kind of beans, peas, okra, carrots, and squash you can! 🫛🫘🥕🥒

In a few weeks when the night time temps fall below 80 plant leafy greens like lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, mustards, and kale. This is also when you plant root veggies like potatoes and beets! 🥬🥦🌿

Firehouse subs sell their pickle buckets for $3, drill a hole in the bottom and throw in some veggie seeds! You'll be surprised what makes edible food for you and the family. And remember grow what you eat!

Do you have tomatoes growing right now? 🍅

Are they putting on fruit that just isn't growing?

Tons of flowers and little green balls that never hit that breaker point? (That's when they turn a little orange or red)

Have no fear! This heatwave here in good ole south Georgia has everyone in a pickle 🥒

When the outside temperature rises above 90 and never falls below 75 at night the tomatoes go into a heat shock that makes them put all their work into just staying alive in the hot sun. I think we can all relate to that little friend! But have no fear the end of July is here, soon outside temps will drop a bit and we will all see the full fruit of our labor.

Especially since I've finally seen to win the war with the deer in my own garden. Iykyk

After yesterday we have heard some of your request loud and clear.

We will now be making a version of the Blessed Blend that will have little to no salt at all, and the spicy hexed blend will be available before new years!

Also keep an eye out for our seasonal herb and spice blends coming just in time for the Yule season!
