They say needlepoint is the sport of queens, but all I know is it calms my nerves and makes me happy! We have had several requests for a beginner class in the new year and will offer one January 10th at 10am. The cost of the class is $60 and includes ALL supplies and instruction to get you going. This is an amazing value as the kit itself would retail for $100+. I just want to introduce you to needlepoint and hope you love it as much as I do! This would make a great gift as well. Class is limited to 6. Please use the link below to register.

Zoomed in on the ole girl. You can see her tattered wings and all the little hairs.

Did you know that Honey bees are covered in nearly three million hairs, which are crucial for their role as pollinators. These hairs are branched (plumose) and strategically spaced to trap pollen, which sticks to them electrostatically. The hairs on the legs are coarser and act as a brush to transfer pollen to specialized structures on the hind legs (corbiculae) for transport back to the hive. The hairs on the eyes are specifically spaced to allow pollen to be cleaned off by the forelegs without impairing vision.

Our November class schedule is updated below with links to classes with open spots. We are finalizing December and January calendars now. What classes would you like to see? Perhaps journaling, needle felting, or polymer clay jewelry making? Should we bring back banner painting, pasta making, or cake pops? Is there something we haven't thought of yet? Give us your feedback and we will enter you in a drawing for a $25 gift certificate. We will draw Friday at 6pm during Trick or Treat.
