And so it begins. 🌸 our Spring has had a fairly slow and uneventful beginning but now the bulk of the work begins as we prep the field for thousands of plant babies over the next few weeks. 🌱 we’re wrapping up a lot of details with brides, planning events, and getting ready to open the flower shop in just a little over a month! It’s going to be another amazing summer and we cannot WAIT. Even when the work days are long, rainy and we wind up covered head toe in dirt it’s still better than one day spent doing something we don’t love. Bring on the ruined clothing and extra showers because this right here is the good stuff. 🙌🏽

Our friend Jess at The Petal Post shared a great tip today! Did you know this?

Flower tip Friday!! Hydrangeas are definitely one of my favorites and they are true to their name! They love water and actually love to drink through their petals. This arrangement was done on Monday and I’m betting by now the hydrangeas are wilting a bit. When that happens, pull them out of the vase, and dunk the heads in a sink full of water. You could let them soak for a little while if you have the time. When you’re ready to put them back into the vase, don’t forget to give the stem a fresh cut and my best kept secret, dip the stem in Alum powder if you have some. It can be found in the spice section at the grocery store. After all that, they should bounce back and last a few more days! 🌺🌷🌸💐🌹🌻🥀🌼

Hey, hi, hello 👋🏼
Remember us?! 👀

Things have been pretty quiet on the flower front, but the book shop has been keeping us busy (head over to bluhenbooks on here and Instagram to check us out if you haven’t already)!

I figured what better time than this icy, wintry, icky night to remind you lovely humans that wedding season is right around the corner!

Are you actively planning your 2022 wedding? Have you picked a florist yet? If you’ve chosen us to help with your big day, have we nailed down details and gotten plans rolling? Are you excited? Do you ever get nervous?

If you’re still in the midst of planning, it’s not too late to ! We are doing our best to stay caught up with everyone who’s reached out so far, but we do still have availability for this season that we’re ready to dedicate to YOU! Dates will fill up fast, so make sure you check us out and let us know your vision for your special day here!! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

Wow! It has been a little bit since there's been anything fun going on around here. Truth is, I've been pretty busy with my off-season gig, Blühen Books, which opened last month!
Now that winter is settling in there will be way more snow than there will be flowers for awhile. Which, is okay with me. As time goes on I've finally learned to have a SMALL amount of appreciation for the forced rest that the cold weather offers. In the summer a lot of this job is literally sun up to sun down, which I truly enjoy but by the time October rolls around it's pretty easy to find myself burnt out.
So here we are, another amazing flower season in the books. Every year things get a little bigger and a little better and this year was no exception. But with growth comes growing pains and there certainly was a lot of that too. Overall though, I'm pleased with the events we pulled off, the amount of flowers we grew, and all of the special moments we got to share with some of the most amazing people I've had the good fortune to work with.
While I'm not 100% sure what next year will bring, I do know that a few things for sure will be changing. And the most notable one at this point is the fact that there will be no more subscriptions. I KNOWWWW. Don't burn me at the stake just yet though. This just means I'll be able to have more bouquets more often and hooopefully more build-your-own options! The subscriptions were the perfect way to launch this business and get our feet wet but the reality is because of how much it has grown over the years it's become something that I'm afraid will hinder us and in turn hurt how well we'll be able to serve all of you. So we're saying goodbye to the bouquet subscriptions but hello to a lot more fun things in the future!

As a thank you for being here, especially a lot of you who have been here right from the very beginning, I'd like to end the year with a giveaway. Since we'll still be using our much-loved punch cards (which a limited amount will go up for sale right before Valentine's day - so mark your calendars!) I'll be giving away TWO five-bouquet punch cards for the 2022 season!

We'll keep it real simple. To be entered for a chance to win just give me a react:
👍 if you're excited for next year!
❤️ if you've been here since the beginning!
🥰 if you have or are going to say !
😆 if you're only here for the Megan shenanigans. iykyk
😮 if you also follow me on IG! ()
😢 if you're sad to see subscriptions go!
😡 if you don't know what's going on or how you wound up here!

We'll run this through the end of the year and announce winners on New Year's Day! For brownie points, comment your favorite thing you saw here this year! Tag your flower loving bestie! Or share this post knowing that's the perfect way to show my business a little extra love! 🖤

Thanks Flower Fam, couldn't do this farming thing without you!!

Just needed to relive this magic for a minute. ✨
Maybe it's because this was the first wedding of the year, maybe it's because I worked closely with Paulina for over a year, or maybe (probably) it's because this day was just truly special - I enjoyed every minute of this verrrry long day. 🥰
I've never been involved in a Jewish wedding, so I asked a lot of silly questions while Zooming with P because I was so deeply invested in the beauty of all the traditions. Including this chuppah (which I learned is "guttural" when you say it) that was built by the couple's brother, that only collapsed one time might I add. ☝🏽It felt so special to be trusted to add the flowers to an already beautiful setting.
I'm excited for the break that winter offers, but so looking forward to witnessing more days like this.

Well Flower Fam, it’s time. Meg is back to teaching, wedding season is going out with a bang, and I am one ☝🏽 person. As it turns out having the shop open AND doing weddings without Megs is really, really hard. So hard in fact we’ve decided to close for the season.

What this means for you:
• if you have a subscription - we’ll obviously be finishing those up.
• if you have a punch card - they’re still good next year!
• if you wanted to make it in and just never made it - we’re sorry! We wanted to see you too!

Thanks for another incredible season of flowers. We’re already planning on upping our production AGAIN! So more and better stuff coming at you in 2022! ✨

It's getting cooler, the leaves will be turning before we know it. Fall is riiiiight around the corner. 🍂 Which means, only five weddings and a few events to go before we wrap up this flower gig for the season!

Being a part of these big moments in your life is so special to us. Everything from getting to know you all the way to seeing it come together. We REALLY love doing this. 🖤

But you know what we don't love doing? Having to turn you away because your wedding date is already booked. 😩 don't forget to inquire early - 2022 spots are being snatched up quickly!

👀 okay, Hildebrandts.
We see youuuu! 🔥

This was the first wedding gallery I've ever gotten back as the florist and oh man I loved looking through these pictures. 😍 Nothing quite like a classic neutral color palette. But September is going to be a month full of beautiful fall tones and I am 🙌 excited!

If you're getting married next year, don't wait! We're booking well into 2022 already.

Hey! You’re coming to hang out this Saturday, right? Or did you forget?

It’s friends night out! We’re going to play with some pretty flowers - have some snacks. Listen to a little smooth jazz (just kidding, unless you want to). And basically just enjoy a night making a beautiful arrangement with some of our favorite people. You may have missed the early sale price but there are still spots available!

Lori from and I can’t wait to see you. We’re going to show you how to put together your own flowers and even answer all your flower farming/growing questions!

Meg's cheese boards is hooking us up with something delicious and we’ll be sure to have refreshments on hand too!

Who’s up for a little Friday RE-introduction? 😏 you get to see a lot of pretty flowers, but today you get to see us too!

I’m Kate 👋🏽 and this is my work bestie, Meg.

I grow a few flowers and do fun things with them. Meg does pretty much everything else. Including running the register in the flower shop because I don’t know how.

Sometimes we get a lot of things accomplished! Other times we sit in the nook and make weird faces at each other. It’s all about balance.

In real life Megs is a middle school teacher. Enriching Americas youth with her bossiness and brains. She’s overqualified for this position (considering she basically is just my babysitter) and I’m lucky she hasn’t figured that out yet. She does things like organize my email inbox, and makes spreadsheets for things. And for her next trick she will keep track of everything on a calendar. 🤯

For me, in real life, I’m basically an old lady. I love gardening, reading, and drinking tea. I might not be organized but I can chat your ear off about what I like to grow or the books I’m enjoying. And most likely I’ll offer to make you a hot chai until you reluctantly accept.

Sometimes people invite me to create something beautiful on their wedding day. And unless they tell me not to, I’m probably going to show up with some crazy hair, in my sweats and my favorite yellow sneakers (that still don’t have the laces back in them ).

So if you like pretty flowers, weird people, and occasionally some cute puppies/kids - you’re in the right place. We hope you’ll stick around for whatever flower adventures lie ahead. ✨

If you’ve been here for any length of time then there’s a good chance you know I have a serious love for tea. ☕️😍 So just imagine how obnoxiously excited I was a couple weeks ago when I had a chance to hang out with Terri from Cuppa Creations. We talked, laughed, and played with loose leaf tea for a couple wonderful hours! The goal we had was to create a blend that was specific for us. I wanted it to, of course, be floral. And beautiful! I wanted the blend itself to be cute, pretty in the cup, and of course the smell and taste had to be amazing. After a few different versions I think we landed on something fantastic!
A combo of jasmine, hibiscus, and chamomile make it perfectly floral with the right amount of color. And it’s made with white tea for that caffeine boost we “sometimes” (😉) need. I’m so excited for you to try it! It’s already on our shelves and waiting for you to take it home! We also have tea balls, and a few simple teapots to get you started.
We’ve yet to land on a name though, so what ideas do you have? ☺️🖤

YOU GUYS. It’s August. How did this happen? 😩 The field is pumping out some major fall beauty right now though and, as always, I’m here for these colors. 🤩

We’ve got a lot on our plate this month. Including this Saturday. The shop will be CLOSED because we’ll be at the F3 Festival over at Howard Elmer Park in Sayre (where the farmers market is!). F3 (or Food, Farm, and Family) is an anual festival put on by the which helps connect you directly to local farmers and artisans all to benefit and promote your overall well being! There will be so many amazing vendors there and we hope you’ll come out and see us. 🥰 we’ll have our flowers, some vases, and we’ll even bring along our local honey and our NEW tea blend!

Besides all that though, we’re planning a couple on-farm activities as well! A Friends Night Out, which will be an evening of snacks ( anyone? 🤤), beverages, and bouquet design. Another mommy and me class where we’ll have a chance to make something beautiful together. And hopefully the announcement of a big event to come this fall!

So who are you bringing with you to F3?! Or to Friends Night Out?! Tag them below and let’s make some plans to hang out with each other! Can’t wait to see you! 😉

Flowers helped Diane heal after the most difficult moments of her life. Her story brings hope to the possibility of joy after unimaginable loss.

She brought an entire book that documented their short journey with her daughter’s sickness. There were so many pictures of love, and flowers. I hope her story is as special to you as it was to us. and I are still recovering. 🤧🥺

This year in honor of we invited people from all over to share story of what flowers mean to them. Each Friday through July we’ll share some special stories from some special people. Have your own special story? Make a quick video and share it with us, we’d love to share your story too. 🖤

After Teagan and her husband purchased their first home in Connecticut they re-discovered their love for nature. They’ve spent the last couple years tearing out brush and returning their backyard to its former glory. For them this journey is as much for their own joy as it is for passing along their love of nature to their kids.

A HUGE shout out to Kate and Megan for bringing all my sisters wedding flower visions and creations to life! Flowers were beautiful and perfectly placed 🙌
a flower boy, all the smirnoff a person could want, biersticks, axe throwing (apparently I am required to mention that the bride participated in this), chicken wrangling, fiona- enough said, feral grandchildren, and all of our favorite family in town to make this wedding one for the books... my very own parents renewed their vows and it was everything any couple could have hoped for in my humble opinion 🤍

Thank you to all of the amazing vendors who came together to give my parents this incredible experience.
