Our dear customer Jennifer asked if we could host a private immunity class for her and her Bible study group. We, naturally, said yes! We had a absolutely lovely time connecting, learning, and crafting together. ❤️
Each of the ladies went home with:
- 2 pints of their own custom made herbal tinctures/glycerites, tailored to their needs using Elderberry, Aronia berry, Astragalus, Echinacea, and Yarrow.
- 1 pint of Sage-Echinacea Sore Throat Spray to keep seasonal scratchiness at bay or a personalized immunity-boosting tea blended with soothing elderflower and a custom mix of their favorite herbs. 🍵

ANNOUNCEMENT: Back by popular demand! We will be having a 2nd Black Walnut Detox Workshop on the 18th!
If you missed out on our last session, here is another opportunity to join us!

In this workshop, join us and our good friend David Shembarger to discover how to cleanse, protect, and balance your body using herbs, with a special focus on the potent properties of green black walnut hulls.

Rich in natural iodine, astringent tannins, and the powerful, unique compound juglone, green black walnut hulls have been trusted for centuries in traditional herbalism to promote systemic wellness.

Whether you are looking to:
~ Clear parasitic profiles and eliminate unwanted internal organisms
~ Balance your gut microbiome for optimal digestive health
~ Address uncomfortable Candida and yeast overgrowths

This workshop has you covered!

You will get to handcraft custom tinctures, glycerites, herbal teas, and capsules all made with our herbs and black walnut hulls and leaves. You will also leave with other fresh cleansing/detox herbs of your choice!

The remedies we will be making are designed to gently support and enhance the natural function of your body's inherent detoxification systems.

We hope you're not afraid of rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty (don't wear your favorite shirt to this class 😉)!

It was a lovely day for an Immunity Class! 🌞
What a week it has been! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to learn and create with us today. With school officially back in session, cold and flu season is right around the corner, making it the perfect time to build up our natural defenses.

We kicked things off by giving everyone a full rundown on the most powerful, time-tested immunity herbs. Then, it was time to get hands-on!

Each participant went home with:
- 2 pints of their own custom-made tinctures or glycerites, tailored to their needs using Elderberry, Aronia berry, Astragalus, Echinacea, and Yarrow.
- 1 pint of Sage-Echinacea Sore Throat Spray to keep seasonal scratchiness at bay.
- A personalized immunity-boosting tea blended with soothing elderflower and a custom mix of their favorite herbs. 🍵

It was so wonderful sharing this space and crafting these herbal remedies together. Here’s to staying healthy, vibrant, and resilient this season!

We had a fantastic Black Walnut Workshop with David Shembarger and his family!
Thank you so much to everyone who came out.

While we originally planned to host the class outdoors, Mother Nature had other plans—so we cozy-crammed everyone inside the pole barn instead! 😊 Despite the sudden pivot, the class was great fun and made for such an unforgettable time together.

David shared the history behind his family’s black walnut grove and walked us through a hands-on demonstration of how to process the hulls with his son, Brian, including how to grind them into a fine, potent powder. From there, Leslie guided everyone through the art of crafting medicinal tinctures and teas.
Daliyah also shared her black walnut salve recipe and gave a brief instruction on how to whip up a nourishing, topical black walnut salve.

Every participant made and took home:
- 1 pint of black walnut tincture
- A one-month supply of black walnut Capsules
- A custom herbal tea blend crafted with dried black walnut leaves and other herbs of their choice
- A freshly picked herb bundle

Guests also had the special chance to stock up and take home freshly harvested, whole black walnuts straight from David.

Being that we had a good turnout and it was great fun, we are definitely thinking about hosting another workshop later this month! Let us know if you're interested and we can make it happen!

P.S. In case anyone was wondering "Why is Leslie wearing sunglasses indoors?" No, she hasn’t gone full diva on us! A hornet unfortunately stung her right above her eye, and she simply "Didn’t want to scare anyone". We’ve been keeping her lathered up in plantain salve, and it is really helping it to heal!

Goldenrod (Solidago virgaurea)
It is Goldenrod season in Southwest Michigan! If you think you have never seen this herb before, think again—it is growing vigorously along highways, hillsides, and everywhere in between. Though many consider it a native w**d, Goldenrod is actually a native to Europe and was naturalized in the States. More than simply a w**d or a lovely late-summer wildflower, goldenrod offers an incredibly wide range of medicinal benefits!

Urinary tract support: Functioning as an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, diuretic, and urinary antiseptic, goldenrod helps soothe and cleanse the system during bouts of cystitis, urethritis, and nephritis, while also aiding in flushing kidney and bladder stones.

Respiratory and throat care: Taken internally or used as a soothing gargle, it provides targeted relief for laryngitis, pharyngitis, and chronic nasal catarrh.

Antifungal action: Its saponins act specifically against Candida, making it suitable as a mouthwash or do**he for oral and vaginal thrush.

Digestive wellness: In addition to easing flatulent dyspepsia, its gentle astringency helps calm diarrhea and pediatric gastroenteritis.

We offer Goldenrod fresh, dried and as a tincture.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our Tea Making Class! 🍵 We had such a wonderful time exploring the art and science of tea making.

Each participant formulated personalized teas tailored to support their unique wellness goals—whether blending herbs to ease digestion, promote restful sleep, soothe sinus congestion, support cardiovascular health, or naturally relieve aches and pains.

Everyone also headed home with an abundance of fresh herb bundles straight from the garden. They can use the fresh bundles to brew immediately as a refreshing herbal cold brew or hang to dry, preserving their therapeutic benefits and fragrance for future tea blends. We hope you all thoroughly enjoy savoring every cup of your handcrafted creations! ❤️
