We have the list in the works. Beef, pork, and meat chickens for this fall! Get you protiens before somebody else reserves that spot. Our chicks arrive this week and will start brooding. Our forage is peaking and packing on those happy lines.

Whats available? We have two hogs ready to become pork! Forest raised with full access to local farmer sourced grain feed. Raised in the woods on rotations and grown a but slower than a barn. This helps mable the pork and add flavor. They are atarting to eat acorns, hickory and walnuts as they are starting to drop. We can get them scheduled in.
PASTURED MEAT BIRDS. We are getting a batch of chicks August 17th. We are sfarting with 100 and will go up if the request are there. If you would like meat birds please pm us with a count. We can talk prices and details.
BEEF. Usually we make a sale post, but we will start here with a list of the followers that asked for beef. Followers and return customers will have priority. We are closed to sold out withi previous request but now is the time to get on the list and make deposits. Our beef date is oct 16th. We have plenty of pasture left to graze. We hope to graze our brood stock, sheep, and next year beef into decemeber.

Please Pm Anthony Horvath or long ear Junction directly.

Along with our shady project, we caught, sorted and moved 20 head of sheep to pasture and one stubborn steer. We had ewes, lambs, young heifers, and weaners on a sacrifice lot while we let mommas recover and setup our ewes for a more time managed lambing come late winter. Hopefully no January snow storm surprises.

Doing some shady things at Long Ear Junction services. Some people dont think about it, others dont mind to the issue. Cattle love shad and hate heat. When you're truly regenerative and AMP grazing on the move, your infrastructure must move also. We finally put the plan on the ground. This has been a long time idea in the works, and it WORKS. Ill make another post for our big project today, the shade structure played a part for that also. The mobil shade consumed my whole weekend so we had plenty of work to do today.

if you would like, get on board for pasture raised chickens. We're getting a group of C.C. meat birds lined up. If we get an order list we can make sure we get enough chicks to raise. No not turkeys but a cool farm pic for attention.

We wrapped up first cutting a few weeks ago. Last week we helped out a good neighbor with some of her acreage. It was a good haul on the second part of first cutting. I was highly disappointed with the first "segment" the spring was cold and wet then hardly warm and very dry. The first segment was about 40% of normal production. But after 3 weeks of rain the forage really took off. 47 bales in the barn about 40ish will be under hard cover tomorrow. Our flerd will be set for winter. Many more bales made for customers and split shares. Over 1,000 square bales and close to 200 round bales this year. Now we need to see how far we can push our winter graze and sell the excess hay. Our goal is to graze into December before switching to bale grazing. Only weather and time will tell our course of action. Cover crops coming soon. Many bales came home tonight!

Mission aborted! We had plans to square bale this field. Upon arriving to rake the field the skies got dark. I rushed the rake job and hauled back for the round baler instead. We got it baled dry. The rain diverted around us. Thays a wrap on first cutting 120 acres done and gone. Second cutting is ready.
