A little peek inside one of our hives! 🐝 Thousands of busy bees all working together… but can you spot the queen? 👑 Hint: she’s longer than the others! Our bees have been hard at work pollinating the farm, and we’re always amazed by these tiny, incredible creatures. 🌷🪻🌸

The oriental poppies are getting ready to bloom next on the farm, and we can hardly wait. Their giant crimson blooms are magical! And wishing all the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures a beautiful Mother’s Day filled with love, sunshine, and flowers. 💐 ☀️

The ranunculus are still blooming beautifully in the greenhouse. Their layers upon layers of delicate petals make them some of the happiest little flowers on the farm. And stay tuned, as we’ll be announcing our market dates soon! 🌸

Our beekeeper (aka my husband 😊) added a few more hives to the farm this week. The bees arrive in nucs, small starter colonies, and are carefully transferred into their brand new hives here on the farm.

It’s always exciting to welcome more pollinators and watch everything begin buzzing with life. Follow along in today’s video for a little behind-the-scenes look at the process! 🐝🌿

Our free-range hens are out doing what they do best….. grazing, scratching, and soaking up the sunshine, while also enjoying their organic grain. It’s a simple rhythm: happy birds and eggs you can feel good about! 🐓

Lilacs are in bloom! I couldn’t resist bringing a few inside, as there’s something special about having them on the table that makes the whole house feel like spring.

And this variety? Hands down my favorite. If anyone happens to know what kind this is, I’d be forever grateful. I’m still kicking myself for not writing it down when we planted them years ago! 💜

Ranunculus are starting to bloom in the greenhouse! They can be a little tricky to grow, but their blooms makes it worth it. This pink confetti mix brought me a bit of sunshine on this chilly, gloomy day in southwest Michigan and I hope it does the same for you! 🌸

My husband Howard, our resident beekeeper, captured something incredible: a baby bee being born! 🐝 Did you know a queen bee can lay up to 2,000 eggs per day?! 🤯 Pretty incredible what’s happening inside the hive…. just a little fun fact for your day! 🌼🍯

Ever wonder how our farm got its name? This sweet girl is Ruby, our beloved goldendoodle and constant farm companion. Since our flower fields sit atop a hill, the name just fit perfectly. Ruby spends her days trotting through the flower field, supervising the greenhouse, chasing chickens, and making sure no flower is admired without her. Best helper we could ever ask for. ❤️🌸
