Awhile back we took out about 2/3 of our front lawn. The rewilding process is a slow one…This whole weekend was mostly spent beating back invasive brome grass by hand pulling. BUT…we are thrilled to see the native Lupine, Saskatoons, and Arrowleaf Balsamroot beginning to make their way home!

Dreaming of Dahlias…40 tubers into the ground this weekend-about half of what I am planning to plant this year. With our area and our soil, I plant tubers directly into the ground about 4”-6” deep with a handful of bone meal. I won’t water until I see leaves unless it gets super dry/hot over the next couple weeks. See you soon pretty flowers!
