Meet Joe—my sweet chocolate OG and the proud head of my sex-linked chocolate pen. 🤎🐓✨

While he’s not the foundation of my entire program, Joe is incredibly important within this particular breeding pen. His consistency, temperament, and quality make him exactly what I was hoping for to move this project forward. 🧬🌱

Although he has a lighter comb and wattles, when bred to his darker ladies he produces really beautiful, dark offspring with excellent toes—something I value highly in this pen. 🤎🐣👌

There’s something special about a bird that fits so well into a specific vision, and Joe does just that. He brings strength and reliability to this pen, and I’m truly grateful to have him here. 💫

A good rooster should never be taken for granted—and Joe is a perfect reminder of that. Feeling thankful for him and excited to see what he continues to produce. 🙏🐓🤎

His ladies like to pull his crest feathers out, I guess it’s payback😅
