We are well into the growing season, but my garden is on its own timeline. This is my first tomato of the year from one of my beefsteak plants. This plant finally decided to grow in the awful ground soil where I placed my garden. I've mostly let this garden just do its thing, and the green beans have produced the best thus far. Better luck next year!

Not the soft, cool grass. Not even a shady spot under the porch in cool dirt. Nope. She picks the hot gravel in 90° heat.

I took a walk around my neighborhood at apparently the perfect time to see all of the deer. Doesn't matter how many times I see them, I will always stop and check them out, and take pictures. And 1 kitty poking its head up out of the grass.

We got starlink (finally) and the only place we could put it was right next to a wasp nest. Well this guy is allergic, so he does NOT want to get stung.

He also doesn't really swear, especially if a kiddo is within earshot, so he comes up with funny alternatives, which you'll hear.

Then he shows me how much he loves me at the end once I'm caught recording.

I mean, just look at it. Yuck!

Harmless, thankfully. It just looks like it's going to take over my oregano. The Googs says it will just dry up and flake away if I don't mess with it. It likes the dead stuff. Gross 🤮

Ya'll, I am so fricken excited right now!!!!! I planted pumpkins 🎃 just to see what they would do. This tiny guy is all alone as it was the only seed to germinate. If I miraculously get a pumpkin, I'll just let it do its thing. I see blooms starting on the butternut squash plants, too!!!

First carrot🥕 from the garden!!! Miss Lilly marked this one and we watched it for awhile. It grew really well, but the spot it was in was crowded due to the seeds getting washed to the sides (my bad!). Very tasty!🥕
