I think I just made the most bitter tea on the planet.๐Ÿคฎ I added honey to make it bearable. Truth be told, I probably made it too strong, and I included the stems out of pure laziness. We won't be doing that again! The jars are in the tea cupboard and they may just stay there forever. ๐ŸชฆLol!!!

I took my 2 youngest on a 5.5 mile hike today. We took our sweet time, and made it up to the top and back down in a little over 3 hours. Looking forward to hiking the higher mountain โ›ฐ๏ธ (last pic) as well this year! Nothing to really do on the funny farm today.

This small flower represents the work I've been putting in to grow my homestead into something my family can really use.

This plant was grown from a seed I could barely see, nearly died thanks to a couple of wind storms, got put in the ground way later than it should have been, but has bloomed regardless of the hardships it has been through. It isn't a big luscious plant, but its singular bloom is still beautiful.

We are all this tiny flower. Blooming where we are planted, despite the odds stacked up against us. Keep blooming!

I snatched up this radish out of the garden tonight for my husband. He loves radishes, and said it was pretty good! I plan to let the others grow a bit more before harvesting them. ๐Ÿซœ๐ŸŒฑ

While a few things are doing really well in the garden, mainly in the raised beds, I have learned a valuable lesson about turning on the timer for the sprinklers after I set it up as the in ground was not making much progress at all. Finally seeing some growth on the plants in the in ground garden, though!

Creepy Crawly creatures on the homestead!!! I used Google lens to help me identify these guys, but I don't know that they are totally accurate. Whatever, close enough. ๐Ÿคฃ
Some of these bugs are good, some of these bugs are bad. Feel free to share what you know!!!
I have arachnophobia, so I don't get many pics of 8 legged creatures, though we have many.

Guess what my husband is building next?!?!?!?!?! ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ This one is for the kiddos. I am so excited for them to see it!!๐Ÿ’œ

The egg saga continues!!! We broke this one open and it was gross, but not smelly.

We found it buried at the base of a service berry bush we dug up.

Could a squirrel or other animal be stealing my neighbor's eggs and burying them in my yard?
