Today I thank God for it being a “good” day. That means a lot for someone with chronic illnesses. I’m singing worship songs while baking. White peach cobbler banana bread and cinnamon rolls. Got my Sam’s pickup and I’m stocked with chocolate chips for my awesome customers. I never in a million years thought that God could use me. Wore out body, brain in constant pain and confusion, but GOD! God is not only good He’s kind. He’s gracious.

Our families heart was broken wide open 8 days ago. We lost a beautiful, loving, sweet, smart and precious baby. Yesterday we laid her rest and the love that was shown was overwhelming. Christ connects us. His followers/believers are His hands and feet. Boy was that shown yesterday! As we wept we were comforted in the knowledge that this isn’t goodbye but in the words of Kyle “see you later!” Please be praying for Kyle and Jade while they navigate life without De’Anna. One thing I am notoriously unmindful of is the importance of pictures. Pictures of the baked goods we make here are Dog’gone Good Bakery. This is a fresh baked blackberry cobbler for my customer. Fresh blackberries, sweet and tart at the same time. Yummy, sweet crust that magically bakes on top of the yummy fruit. We make apple, peach, cherry and blackberry. Prices vary on fruit but run $25-$35. Place your order today and be saying ‘Dog’gone that’s good!” Tomorrow.

Well dog’gonnit our wonderful customers, friends, made this 4th extra special. It’s never just an order you place with us. It’s a trust that we will help in the celebration. It’s a trust that we will put a smile on your loved one’s faces. In some cases it’s a blind faith that we will work hard to keep your family, loved one, safe from food that harms them. I take that very serious. I pray while I bake and after that enough care was taken. For that we, I, thank you! The 250th anniversary of our country’s freedom will live in all our hearts and memories. Thank you for allowing us to be apart of that!
