The goats are getting in the Christmas spirit by eating their tree. When you’re ready to take your tree down, they would love to dispose of it for you. (No tinsel please)

We did hooves a bit different today! Both of us have hurt our backs recently and this was much easier than bending over...and the goats didn’t seem to mind, although Hazel had to be a drama queen for a few minutes before she settled in!!

VERY happy news on the goat front tonight! Teddy decided to get up and out of his stall for a bit to stretch his legs and decided the hay in the barn was better than what was in his manger! He also ate a very small amount of grain, even after getting his meds!
Also, Amos’ test results came back-no concerning bacteria in his abscess, just normal skin stuff probably from a insect bite or a puncture wound from a stick, but NO CL! This was the bacteria we were so afraid it was. God is SO good, all the time!! Thanks to everyone for your prayers! Please continue as I’m not positive that Teddy is out of the woods yet but any improvement is great!

So Amos’ lump was an abscess that was drained, just keeping an eye now and hoping the results are common bacteria and not something terrible, but he himself is doing great! But now his brother Teddy, who has always been a bit sickly, is down with a GI problem. Another trip to the vet yesterday as he was not eating at all despite attempts all day Saturday as Ethan’s grad party happened! He is on antibiotics, probiotics, Gatorade, Pain killer/fever reducer, and meds to coat his tummy. He perked up a bit after the vet yesterday when we gave him the tummy medicine and pain killer and ate a few bites of hay but fever returned last night and he just looks miserable. We will give the antibiotics a few days to work but if he doesn’t improve soon I am not going to let him suffer. We are supporting him as best we can but we would love some prayers for improvement. We leave for Ireland next Monday and our house sitter will be here so we have to make decisions before the end of the week if it comes to that.

Currently at the vet with Amos to find out what this lump is on his face...it’s always something!

Two new girls arrived today....our first Nubians! The black and white is nine months old, she struggled with some worms early on so she had some stunted growth. The brown one is only about 3 months! I need some help naming!

Theodore and Amos made a new friend at the vet today! Little respiratory illness for Theo and a bit less for Amos, so some antibiotics are in order. Should be good as new in a week or so. Happy to nip it in the bud before they get really sick!
