May not have ducks in a row, but I’ve got my silkies and polish in a row. They have been at the farm all summer due to raccoons around the house. We rebuilt there coop and felt it was time to bring our retirement flock home. Daddy’o is 5.5 (black white chest polish), pepper & cocoa are 5.5 ( black & partridge silkies), and plastic letters is 4.5 (splash polish). They are so happy and chatty this morning being back home, sorry neighbors but daddy’s little crow will echo again around here🤍🖤. Eve and I can’t help but smile today hearing him chatty this morning. It was a long summer not having our friendliest birds home where we can hang out with them. The layer flock isn’t quite the same as these on the love meter. Don’t get me wrong we have a handful at the farm that like to be loved on, and we still saw these guys at the farm but it wasn’t the same as having them at home. (And fun fact of their names: daddy’o is named after Cicero’s old bar, cocoa and pepper are obviously named after their colors, and plastic letters who we hatched, she’s daddy’s daughter- is named after her grandma chicken blondie one of my first polish- and her mother was pearl (catch the music reference 😉))
