If there was EVER a photo that would make you want to buy locally from small farms that care for and respect their animals…this picture is it. Please consider buying from small farms…not the grocery store. I raise animals for meat, but I literally cried for these poor birds as they passed me in a torrential downpour, crammed in tiny crates getting pelted with rain and road water spray. We will be producing pasture raised chicken in the very near future. This post is not in any way an advertisement for buying from us. Just to make people aware of the factory farm practices and the miserable lives these poor birds endure and the filth they live in. Buy local from trusted sources. I promise, they taste SO much better when they’ve lived a happy existence being on pasture.
