Good Morning!
On July 18th we moved out of the farmhouse and into the guest house, that was 20 days ago... we have spent exactly half, 10 days actually in the house.. (a much needed vacation to the beach to see family interrupted the settling in process) However, we are getting life figured out in this new space. When we moved, we took our beds and dressers. We don't have the furniture picked out yet.. Here are a few snap shots of the current insides, despite the unfinished projects, piles, open drawers and towels all over.. I'm keeping it real and enjoying the cool!
It is getting hot here, but the good news is we are moving! After 18 months of tearing down, building, painting, and lots of patience we will soon have air-conditioning! Before and afters. . .

These two little ones won't leave each other. They make me smile every time. #truefriends
Five little ducks went out to play.... Why wouldn't we add 5 ducks to our list of animals? And why wouldn't we hang out on the tractor when the day is done? #bondingtime
Despite what this looks like.. we are not having a tractor show! It’s haying time!!
Growing up...
Alongside of one of our dilapidated barns is a very large patch of cockleburs. Cockleburs, we call them prickers or briars. This patch is so large, it appears to be swallowing up the foundation of the barn. Out in the pastures, the cockleburs have sprouted, they are not picky, they are not stingy, and they grow in plenty where their seeds are sown. [ 993 more words ]

If you have ever been in Virginia when the Bradford Pear trees are in bloom, you are in for a treat! They typically line neighborhood streets and when in bloom, look like cotton candy on a stick. …
When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way. While we do His good will, he abides with us still, and with all who will trust and obey. Trust and Obey for there is no other way To be happy with Jesus than to trust and obey. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies, [ 105 more words ]

The maple tree who shaded us from the heat in the summer, who lost his leaves in the fall, and who gave us syrup in the winter, is bursting forth this spring. He is so amazing to watch.
When it is rainy and cold, school is canceled, and you live in a farmhouse with old fabric in the attic, why wouldn't you get out the buttons, needles and thread for a sewing lesson?
These Have I Loved The early morning air; The roosters crowing; The feathers fiercely flying; The pounding of the hammer in the barn; The purring of my cats; The gobble of the turkeys in the woods; The clucking of my hens; The fresh grass between my toes; The stomping of the horse's feet on the neighboring trail. The bleating of my goats voice; [ 34 more words ]

Northern Virginia didn't receive any measurable amount of snow in the winter of 2018. During that first year of owning the property, I wanted to take some fun pictures of the farm in the snow, but alas, it did not happen. The snow hardly covered the frozen ground let alone allowed for pretty pictures. Winter 2018 With plenty of precipitation, 2019 has not disappointed us! [ 316 more words ]

It has been a really long time since I have written a post. Over six months actually. A few seasons have come and gone. The last post I wrote was titled Bolted Down. If you haven't read it, go ahead and take a look. After I wrote that post, the wind blew and God spoke very clearly. With our family's foundation built firmly on Christ and our faith bolted down, we were ready for the wind to blow us anywhere it wanted us to go. [ 971 more words ]
